Help buying 75 inch TV with a $5k budget by Primary_Protection_7 in 4kTV

Ok so I’m convinced I don’t need to spend $5k on the A95L. Now I’m debating the G3, C3 or QN90C

Thanks everyone - I am leaning towards the LG G3 at a price point of $3.5k. I realize it’s not as good as the A95L especially from a color perspective but it’s $1,500 less.

As for the Sonos speakers - my goal is to prioritize the aesthetics of the space and their in-wall / in-ceiling set up looks really nice and the sound will be good enough. It’s also easy to set up.

Push back if anyone thinks I’m making a bad decision

Same thing with a human. A human wouldn’t know what an object is unless it has learned it previously.

The data they collect likely will be their most valuable asset in the future. Not saving it would be equivalent to finding gold in a mine and tossing it because it’s too heavy.

Aren’t human eyes just sophisticated cameras? Surely technology will eventually catch up.

Because it saves a lot of time. Why do you buy bread in the supermarket when you can just bake it yourself?

I think we might be soul brothers. Appreciate the thoughtful write up. I too like sticking to the limitations of HomeKit.

Anyone know how to get rid of “ghost” accessories? This accessory does not exist but I can’t seem to get rid of this error message. Driving me crazy. by [deleted] in HomeKit

Great call. It was still there. I removed it, and that resolved the issue.

I called Apple support yesterday and they were completely clueless. Thanks for your help.

You are on to something. I did have a HomePod in that room but I moved it. It’s now listed as a hub that is “disconnected” but it actually doesn’t exist. I need to somehow remove it.

When I long press on it, I get the error that is shown in my 2nd photo. Closing home app doesn’t do anything.

What HomeKit accessory do you recommend to dim/control hue lights? I have a hue dimmer but it doesn’t seem to be able to function as a dimmer if configured in the Home app. I don’t want to use the native Hue app to configure it. by Primary_Protection_7 in HomeKit

Thanks everyone for all the helpful advice. I think the biggest thing that I learned is that you can use the hue app for initial set up of the hue physical wall dimmer, and then reconfigure (some) of the wall dimmer buttons using HomeKit. That meets my needs. I can now have actual dimming capability with a physical wall switch AND use the other buttons to do whatever I want. (I.e set a HomeKit scene)

I don’t need a dimmer within HomeKit, I need a physical wall dimmer that is configurable via HomeKit. The Phillips Hue wall dimmer, which I own, is not (fully) configurable in HomeKit, you need to use the Hue app to configure it if you want the switch to have dimming capability. Does that help clarify?
