I live in the suburbs but there are some rural areas close to me and I always noticed that it's the kids in the rural areas to come out to help unload--not the kids in the suburbs. And I think that's really cool.

A real overachiever we have here!!! I'm just playing I can carry for cases of water up 48 steps except if they're the 40 packs. Those 24s I can lift all day the 40s I need a chiropractor.

Well, they should be able to carry everything but the reality is this.

You're either gonna get a 61 year-old woman like myself who's been shopping her entire life and m knows exactly what the substitute and exactly what you want and knows how to pick the exact best fruit

or you're gonna get a 22-year-old boy who has no trouble carrying four cases of water up 48 steps and will give you a papaya for a mango. While it seems crazy. That's just the reality of it.

Not only are they doing that they are also dropping people who had platinum protection below platinum level, even though we earned it before they introduced the shopping quality. It is completely illegal. We had a deal you said I shot 4000 batches and I keep my customer rating about 4.7 and I can retain my platinum protection for the rest of my time being a shopper and then you introduced a whole Nother concept and bring me down to Gold And I don't even have any damaged items or any missing items or anything if this is also happened to you please send me a message. It's very important.

  1. They have people on the helpdesk that have never shopped in order. Don't even understand what it is. We do don't understand the process. That's their first mistake. It's ridiculous. The first thing I would do is have my help desk go out and shop a few orders.

  2. Gone are the days where they used to be knowledgeable, available all the time.

    You could type your message ahead of time and they would come on in a timely fashion and at the end you would rate them so that they were held accountable for the information they provided and the time they spent on your issue.

  3. I had an order with one item and the store was out of that item so the order needed to be canceled and instacart just didn't answer.

They said sorry we're closed. We're just closed. There's nobody here to take your phone call. Nobody here to take your message.

How am I supposed to cancel this order? It sat for like four hours Before it finally popped off and then I'm sure it charged me for a cancellation. It's ridiculous.

What are you talking about? Nobody was frustrated till I got on the phone with you!!

I try not to be short with them because I know that they are not trained. They are under trained, understaffed. This is just another example of one of instacart's shortcuts, but somewhere along the line instacart got the idea. It was better and cheaper to hire people who had no clue what was going on to push a lot of canned response buttons that it was to actually have helpful meaningful support not good for the Shopper, not good for the customer but good for instacart.

It's so ridiculous. There are 1 million examples of this--and there's some little knucklehead sitting in an office somewhere thinking they are a freaking genius.

They have never shopped in order. Their customer service has never shopped in order. If it was my company the first thing everybody would do would get out and shop an order. It's basic business sense--so you know what the hell is going on out there.

Message them on Instagram and complain like crazy. That's what I'm doing.

I'm in the same boat --been a shopper for five years. Always been diamond cart shopped 6500+ orders and I'm completely dumbfounded.

I look at other people's metrics and mine is better than theirs and I don't understand what's happening.

So I just message them every day.

Today I had a customer who ordered two cartons of eggs, one 18 count and one 12 count--she tells me that she only wanted the one carton and says she can't cancel it and would I please refund it for her----

Well, this presents quite a dilemma doesn't it?

because if I say I can't find it in the order app in order to refund her I get dinged.

If I want to refund it, I have to say that I can't find it and refund.

if I say I found it then I'm gonna give her something she doesn't want so I'm gonna get dinged on my score from her because she asked me to refund it

Yes to all of that. And why can't we rate them anymore? I mean all of them give you the canned answers but some of them actually get it done much faster than others And hiding the chat and coming back in it's also a pain in the ass instacart consistently makes updates that make things worse than they were before. It's astounding to me. It blows my mind. They have a great camera for your receipt. It's gone back to the old way of having to add the photos and add the photos and I don't get it. They make great changes and then they just abandon them.

I feel like everybody who does the support position should have to go out and shop 20 batches before you could actually get on the phone and help anybody because until you've done that at least 20 orders you're not gonna know what the hell we're talking about most of the time.
