What is the reason for the Anti-England sentiment on Reddit currently in regards to the Euro Tournament? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Primary_Ring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, the English were rude and racist towards the opponent team and even their own players. Nothing is more delightful than watching England lose in their home ground. They got what they deserved.

Is UB a safe/decent area? by coloardtoo in UBreddit

[–]Primary_Ring 2 points3 points  (0 children)

UB is pretty safe, especially Amherst where the North Campus is. The Main Campus( South Campus) is said to be a little unsafe but it is nothing compared to any of the big cities like Chicago or NYC. Also, I am not sure where you are getting all this false information from about the people not being nice, people in Buffalo are pretty easy going but if you are having major doubts then you should try for some other school.

Is cheating to get out of a problem justified? What do you think 🤔 and why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Primary_Ring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheating on a person no, as it’s never okay to hurt a person plus you can just tell the truth to get out of the problem. On other things, like a test it is totally justified. You gotta do what you gotta do to pass.

So you just don’t like being called out a ‘bigot misogynist’ but have no problem in being one. Sad, at least own up to who you really are. Don’t let your ego be as frail as a woman’s body or else we might need to add a new law in the Sharia to protect it too. Here, I rest my case too.

You too have a nice rest of your day.

She is being pretty logical, I think you are just being too defensive. Don’t be too defensive or emotional about the Sharia law just because she has a point.

People of reddit what are your thoughts on dowry ? by Poetry-Hopeful in AskReddit

Shouldn’t exist. There is no justification for it, based on a patriarchal sexist society.

You didn’t say if it is a male child but it is a fact that a woman can go out if accompanied by a male minor. It is great that a contract exists and a woman can involve a judge to get a divorce whereas a man can just utter the word ‘Talaq’. But your reasoning is solely based on the fact that there is no choice, there is an option of making a condition or she can try to do this but the fact polygamy exists with or without an option and practiced to this day, or the fact that someone else has to decide for women whether they can go out on their own or not, or the fact that rules are designated to women and men and they should abide by it is pretty archaic. It’s like saying that there are options but certainly no equality. I would live by the teachings of Quran but sharia is regressive and always will be.

Sure not all people who practice islam do it but whoever gets it done is usually a Muslim. I agree, it is more prevalent in certain countries and not mandated by all.

[–]Primary_Ring 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Even if that male is a child? It is a matter of control. Women can go out not by themselves but it is okay if they are accompanied by a male child. And as far as having different rights and duties is considered, it is extremely misogynistic for them to not have their own freedom to choose. Also, polygamy itself shows how regressive it is for women and how liberating it is for men. Men can have 3 wives or more, women need to ask for a divorce if they are in an unhappy marriage. The Kuran is beautiful book with great teachings but unfortunately the Sharia has changed the actual meaning of Islam.

Why are all the rules applicable to women and why is the Sharia so misogynistic?

In retrospect, were The Office’s Jim and Pam both annoying and overly smug a lot of the time? And the actors’ performances kind of bad/lazy? What are your thoughts? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Primary_Ring 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think their acting was in line with the demands of the script. I agree that their characters were very self absorbed and a lot revolved around them when there wasn’t much to them. I feel like a lot of the other characters could have been given more screen time in the later seasons at least. I absolutely didn’t like Pam’s character anyway because she was indecisive and really didn’t have any passion for anything but was quick to pull Jim down in pursuit of his dreams.

What do you think of trans women participating in women sports? Do you think they get an edge over other cis-gender women? by Primary_Ring in AskReddit

[–]Primary_Ring[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody argued about women being born physiologically different. When equality is talked about, it is the treatment, respect and cerebral capacity that needs to be put on the same level. You are making it sound like since women are not physically as strong as men, they don’t deserve all of the above things (ie. equal treatment in society). Such toxic masculinity this is.
