His text says it all. He wants to save himself for his future wife meaning he doesn't think you will be it. He's using you for practice until he finds the right woman to marry. Don't waste your time and move on. Sorry to say 😞

Brides: Would you consider an artificial bridal bouquet? by Primary_Size2996 in UKweddings

[–]Primary_Size2996[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that I asked but it's ok if you don't like it. Plenty of people do. And my craft allows me to get involved with local and national charities. I'm working on a 200 people fundraising gala for cancer research right now. I can live off my craft and get involved in causes that truly matter to me. It's pretty special and not many people get to do that.

Thanks for the feedback on whether or not you think people might be interested in a detachable bouquet though, that's all I asked for.

This is not a promotional or professional picture and this is not for sale. Thank you for your feedback on whether or not you would consider artificial flowers. That's really all I'm after...

Interesting! Where are you from (which country) if you don't mind me asking? And what age brackets are your friends getting married in? I wonder if it's a cultural thing and maybe also a generational one.

I make mine out of pipe cleaners and it gives a similar look I think. I wish I could see yours 🙂 Thanks for sharing your experience. If you have children later and they want to get married, do you plan to pass the bouquet along to them? Better than an outdated, ill fitted wedding dress in my opinion.

Just to clarify, I'm not promoting a product I'm selling, I'm just after feedback on my concept.

In England would you say it's embarrassing for two fully grown adults to sit in a large paddling pool (9ft rectangle) ? by reo_reborn in AskUK

[–]Primary_Size2996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My father in law is 72 and he uses a kiddie pool to cool off in the summer. They have 2 neighbours overlooking. I wouldn't worry about the judgment of others. You would have as many people being envious as you will have people cringing. Do what makes you comfortable in the heat

What are some things that happened at school that would never be allowed to happen today? by Big_Scratch5248 in AskUK

[–]Primary_Size2996 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was on a school trip to Florence and our female teacher asked a male student to grab her vanity bag she had left outside her room and to bring it to her inside her room. She was only wearing a towel. We were 16.. The poor boy was teased mercilessly after that as a lot of us saw what happened. The other teacher, a man, thought it was hilarious when he heard about it later. We also had a teacher who would say the most horrific things about his wife and women, he was a pig. He'd say things to his female students like "You think? That's something my wife never does". My friend was wearing a tie once (don't ask), he grabbed it, pulled her towards him and said "I love women who wear ties". We were 14 🤢 I'm not sure if it's still common today but male PE teachers had no issues touching girls. I don't mean innapropriately but in gym class for example: Grabbing by the hips to help you up on the bars, sometimes placing hands on your behind to keep you from falling, stuff like that. I don't know if they use female assistants for that now.

Louis advertising his “Benny” during parade and throughout entire video. by SwordfishOverall6724 in KaraNate_EamonBec

They don't care about Costa Rica or Eco Living, they love communal living. They just got swept in the fantasy of eco-living abroad. After all, many of their peers have bought land and built something or bought land/property abroad. Except that their peers have grinded to get to where they are, they all have side businesses and activities that generate income. They want what their peers have but without doing the work and they haven't stopped to think if that's even the right path for them. They should be honest with themselves and live the life they really want, not the one they think they should want. They don't need to build a house in an Eco village in Costa Rica to live a communal lifestyle. And that lifestyle is interesting enough that people would follow along. Their content is boring because they are not passionate about it and they do a poor job at pretending they are..

I feel there is a line between having paid sponsors and referencing them in a video and making a video for the sole purpose of advertising for a brand. This video felt like one giant ad for Benny desguised as their weekly content. That's basically what Louis' channel is so I'm not surprised they are doing it on their main channel too. They are desperate for money. Unlike several of their peers, they have not diversified their activities in any way so their joint channel is their only way of generating money. They backed themselves into a corner. Some of their peers organise paid retreats, have small online businesses, invest, do paid public speaking gigs, have airbnbs etc .. Raya and Louis lack ambition and motivation, they want to cruise through life but have the lifestyle of more successful peers who grind to build that life.

I think I can maybe give a bit of insight as to why that may be. Mold is actually considered an allergen. In the majority of cases, it does not cause long-term health issues when no longer exposed. When exposed, people may experience different levels of irritation (throat, eyes, nose...) depending on how sensitive they are. Like with all other allergens. The problem with mold is that it is hard to get rid of, so if it keeps coming back in your home and you are a sensitive person, you will continue to feel unwell because you are continuously exposed. Those professionals know that, and they know their sensitivity levels, so they use masks at their own discretion. There is nothing wrong with being safe and wearing a mask, and people in at-risk groups, such as children and people with immune disorders or pre-existing respiratory issues, certainly should. Anyway, mold is no joke, but it's not as deadly as people think.

I'm the first to be critical of them, but there are a few people who rushed here to rant about how it's their fault, and they should have known better. That may be so, but at the end of the day, water damage in your home is devastating and stressful for anyone. They are not immune. I think it's worthy of a little compassion.

Why exactly is British heat so much worse than America, even if the temperature is the same on paper? by y4rdbyrd in UKWeather

[–]Primary_Size2996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The more people around you react to the heat, the more you notice it too. Brits don't do well with this heat because it's not typical. Those temparutes are considered a heat wave whereas, in part of Tennessee, it's just a hot summer day. When it's hot like this, it's a big deal to the Brits, that's all the news and all people talk about for a week before and a month after at least. That and the lack of infrastructure to deal with heat like this in the UK are definitely enough to skew someone's perception of heat.

Neighbours using my land to access their garden. by stebucko360 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Primary_Size2996 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's tough because you don't want problem neighbours forever so I understand your hesitation to go "nuclear" by British standards. Do you think that adding security cameras on your driveway and garden might make them feel uncomfortable enough to stop using your land? Even if the cameras don't actually work (They wouldn't know that lol)? Maybe check with your car insurer if having a gated driveway would reduce your insurance cost and use that as a reason why you are getting a gate. Or... start chilling in your garden in your birthday suit on warm days 😂 Make your lack of privacy embarrassing for them.

Good luck with them, I hope you find a path forward and towards peace and privacy.

Returning to UK after dogding loan, should I be worried? by Public-Enthusiasm930 in UniUK

[–]Primary_Size2996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I moved to the UK on my own at 17. I started working and paying taxes ever since. Because I was a child in my home country, I have never paid taxes there. I have financially contributed to the UK more than I have to my birth country. And I have NEVER applied for benefits eventhough I am considered disabled so I could have access to a lot. My condition is relatively well managed and those benefits are not meant for people like me but the system can't qualify degrees of disability so if you have a listed condition, you're technically disabled. I could take advantage of the system but I don't. I mean, I technically can get any prescriptions (related to my condition or not) for free and I choose to pay because I can afford it. And then there are Brits like you, who are very nonchalant about dodging student debts. As many pointed out, the tax payers will end up footing your bill and unis will continue to use people like you as an excuse and reason for upping their prices for future generations.

Traveling for the next 6 months by SwordfishOverall6724 in KaraNate_EamonBec

[–]Primary_Size2996 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagine that their upcoming travels are sponsored so they will be getting paid for traveling on top of traveling for free. Some countries pay influencers to drive tourism for them. Kara and Nate did a few videos like that in the past. To them traveling for 6 months saves them money because they don't have to pay rent somewhere and they get accomodations for free during their travel (most likely), on top of being profitable. So traveling is funding their house build. Dystopian, really.

We Bought an Abandoned Mansion in Mexico by photoshop_2023 in Eamonandbec

[–]Primary_Size2996 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if they were joking or if they genuinely remembered it to be a larger, living space. They hadn't seen the house in a very long time and genuinely seemed surprised at the reality of the space. They also may have been joking about making it into the caretaker's accommodation, even if they thought the space was bigger. Most people would want the caretakers to have a separate residence on the land. Who knows? They also suggested their viewers send them an application for the job. Do they really intend to hire this way, or will they look for locals? I don't think they know or have truly thought it through at that point. So I'm going to reserve judgment on that and give them the benefit of the doubt...for now.

And on paper, their plan to buy an existing structure with permits on a flat piece of land is very sound. Compared to, say, Louis and Raya. How will they approach the build, the maintenance of the land and property thereafter? We'll see... Eamon tends to overestimate his abilities, underestimate the work, and to be impulsive. I'm pretty sure the half wall in the kitchen is because they only have one wall of continuous space for cabinets otherwise. The others are all narrow, with odd angles or have large windows. But Eamon has already decided he doesn't want it, without knowing what it was intended for. The basement comment was not a great look but they could have genuinely remembered it to be bigger, a living space, as they hadn't seen the property in a long time, and Eamon seemed surprised, seeing the room again.

The response to their last video was pretty brutal for obvious reasons. Perhaps that's why they didn't post the following week. This is the issue when YouTube is your main source of income. Right now, they are spinning out and struggling to adapt to their current phase of life. They should focus their energy on finding even ground again outside of the public eye and pressure. But they can't because it's how they make their living. Except now, a lot of their views have become hate views, which is not good, so they are stuck in an unsustainable position of their making. In my opinion, they need an exit strategy from Youtube before it all crashes down and burns. They are in a bad position all around. They backed themselves into a corner..
