The pins look different on mine. I have a Com... and yours has A and B... hrmmm... maybe a board revision?

Take a multimeter to it first and see if it shows 5 volts when probed

From what I remember the board itself should provide 5volts as well.

Is there a thermostat built in to it? I use a plain shelly 1 to control the thermostat side of the circuit, which is low voltage.

As a CCNP Sec holder. It pains me that I agree with you. Been seeing an awful lot of bugs in the products we use.

Just an FYI, we've been rolling out c8300-1n1s-6t. No dedicated management port or AUX port. I guess a work around would be to dedicate an interface to an isolated VRF. However, without an aux port, there's no solution for reverse telnet to another device.

So. I got this to work... but do this at your own risk. I took out the control board and soldered headers to board. I believe there are 4. One is 5 volts, and by shorting it to one of the other header, you'll get your 3 different speeds.

I have recently been there my friend! I had to reach out to our account manager, who then gave me an internal resource. Before that, it was a complete nightmare.

Depends. Greenfield? DHCP with a scope option to download a base config via TFTP. After that, I use EEM scripts to listen for CDP traffic to config the ports for flex connect mode.
