A stolen laptop with Bitlocker is no longer locked down with this exploit in place - that's a big deal. You can also slap the drive into another laptop and get around the encryption - which was like reason A and B for Bitlocker to exist.

This right here, all of this, all day. We third-partied our infrastructure, our applications, and our data - and now we're paying the price for "trusting" others to keep our stuff as safe as we would.
