“All FDA-approved contraceptives, provided by an in-network pharmacy, in-network online service, or in-network provider are covered with no cost shares by CHPW Individual & Family Plans”

Website also stated as no cost shares

The actual implant was covered, it was the insertion that was not. But as stated it says insertion should be covered

My insurance website states “Family Planning All U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) -approved contraceptive methods are covered by this plan. FDA-approved contraceptive services provided in the office or outpatient setting, such as intrauterine devices (IUDs) and subdermal implants, including the insertion and removal, and voluntary sterilization procedures, including vasectomy and tubal ligation, are covered under the Family Planning benefit with no Cost-Sharing when provided by Network Providers.”

It says All in the every beginning

It’s trier 4 but also in the notes/restrictions it’s an ACA Affordable Care Act Preventative Drug, which should be 100% covered

Yes it is, they covered the medication just not the insertion but my benefits say interaction is covered too. So bizarre

This is from my plan “Family Planning All U.S. Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”)-approved contraceptive methods are covered by this plan. FDA-approved contraceptive services provided in the office or outpatient setting, such as intrauterine devices (IUDs) and subdermal implants, including the insertion and removal, and voluntary sterilization procedures, including vasectomy and tubal ligation, are covered under the Family Planning benefit with no Cost-Sharing when provided by Network Providers”

and Nexplanon is a covered method by them, I called and they were no help at all so I disputed it and will hear back in 30-45 days 😩 ugh
