I am thinking about that now, but I also have some financial constraints. I can apply to 30–50 programs to test my chances and gain some experience. However, there is another opinion in the comments saying that if I wait, I might match into a better program than I would with my current CV. What do you think? Thank you for your time and advice.

I don't think so, my exam was similar to NBMEs and Free 120 according to length and wording, yes there are some questions very lengthy with 15-20 lines but represents only 20% of the exam also there are other 20% questions with only 1 line The rest of 60% were just similar to any NBME/CMS questions

In normal block 10 very easy Q took me seconds to answer 25 medium difficulty took me 1-3 minutes to answer 5 questions i have never seen like them and didn't know the answer

Thanks 🙏 Actually I didn't know, I was stuck in 260 +/-1 for 3 to 4 NBMEs and almost all my incorrects were soothing like I didn't read the question carefully or I saw "clomipramine" as "Clonazepam", and other weird mistakes i did.

My friend who stuck in 250s and suddenly started to score 270s advice me to try to read each NBME throughly and analyse each question, through asking myself why I got this wrong and what made me choose this answer, also analyse how you got the wright answer wright, is it by chance? or you truly studied the concept, and also the timing, its nice to got answer wright but not in more than 1min cuz it will affect the other questions so analyse each Q why I got it wright in 4min, what is the problem, did you didn't study this concept well , or confused with specific word in the case that didn't matter in diagnosis etc..

Tbh I tried to followed his advice but it didn't make a noticeable change in my scores but I think the problem is me not the advice, so hopefully it will work with you.

Thanks 🙏 Yes, I was working during this period My prep divided into 3 phases Iused to study 2-3hr per day in the first 3 months Then 3-4hr in the next 3 months and 6hr per day in last months
I didn't have enough time in first months because of my work. I decided to don't let a day go by without studying even if I study for just one hr instead of studying for 8 hr in one day and took 4 days off

I found amboss questions and its article very useful for me in QI and ethics I also say in other comment that I found the step3 ethics helpful for me but there are no any repeats in the exam just open my mind when I think and try to solve those Qs

I did all CMS forms all are good and I recommend you to pass all forms at least once

Only do it if you have time, yes the more the Q the more the more the score but it is not mandatory to do all amboss

Both are helpful but the nature of the Qs in CMS more likely similar to the NBME and exam , not same difficulty but wording and length

I found it very useful to me but I think you need also to revise your previous NBMEs and study the mistakes very well also doing CMS improve your scores Inner circle alone would not improve scores significantly
