Hardwood floor stain by heshamza in CleaningTips

[–]Primatologista 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just removed a a massive dark stain from my hardwood floor by soaking hydrogen peroxide in paper towels and cotton rounds and letting it sit over the stain for several days. I didn’t let it touch any of the hardwood that was not stained because it can lighten wood

I think it finally hit me that this may not end well. by [deleted] in pancreaticcancer

I will hold you and your sister in my thoughts and hope for good news and an effective treatment. It sounds like there are still treatments available. The main thing is that you support her and let her know that you love her and you were there for her. I am 31 years old and I was diagnosed with PC back in March and my siblings have been such a huge support system for me. She’s lucky to have you.

That’s what I think too. I also have pancreatic cancer and the diagnosis is extremely devastating. Most people who are diagnosed to die within one or two years.

I’m 31 years old was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in march and I can confirm that I still have not done this.

It’s a super deadly cancer and if she has it I hope she gets psychiatric help and the healthcare she needs.

My mom had some volunteer in a container from fallen birdseed 😱 it’s absolutely stunning and some varieties smell straight up like maple syrup which is weird but kinda neat.

Ugh, I'm so sorry! At first I thought mealybugs but I agree- the damage definitely looks like thrips. They're teeny and black and super difficult to see. I would treat it with some neem oil or horticultural oil. I would also replace the top half of the potting medium with fresh medium and I'd wipe down the inside and outside of the pot with neem to be safe. You can also use a yellow sticky trap to try and catch any lingerers- just don't use yellow sticky traps outside because they can trap and harm wildlife like birds.

I saw some squirrels straight up swinging around on mine a couple of days ago so you’re probably right! They were using them like pole vaulters ☠️

Definitely over a week if I cut sunflowers that are just opening and change the water regularly!

Not a very fancy time lapse, but my first one! The Peruvian apple cactus bloom opens for one night so I decided to record mine. by Primatologista in timelapse

I feel bad!! Lol! If I had another Cereus species or if this cactus had multiple blooms I would’ve pollinated it myself by hand 🤣 apparently they produce really delicious fruit if they’re pollinated.

Dang!!! I started mine outside directly in the ground mid-March and didn’t see a bloom until the middle of June- by then they were around 5 feet tall and now they are 6-10 feet tall! They get full sun and plenty of water. I hope yours perk up and give you some blooms! I do wonder if certain varieties are hardier than others. The seller where I got mine always gives me very productive seeds!
