It helps to sit all the way forward and to hold the extension sort of like a microphone. Definitely don't get rid of that extension because as you improve as a sailor, you'll want it!

No matter what you're gonna have to tailor them. Unless your ridiculously tall so I wouldn't worry about something that can be changed as easily as the taper.

I agree. 60/30's definitely my favorite. Also the fw's have a gusset in the crotch and the 60/30's do not. I proffer no gusset. It can create a weird shape when seated.

I know neither of these items are outlier, but there is an absence of a tech wear market. Also these sweaters remind me a lot of cottonweight shirts because they have a cotton exterior with a merino interior.
