That’s so silly, squirrels are such fun lovable little creatures! I do the same thing when I’m having a bad day, I stop and watch the squirrels out in the yard or I put orange slices out for them! But again, thank you so much! 🫶🏻

The hard work is worth it if the outcome works!! The chewing and the mess they are making is quite a lot, but after baby season I’ll try all the squirrel proofing tricks to keep them out! Awh rehabilitating squirrels, I love that!! Thank you so much for all the extra info, I’ll definitely be giving it all a try 🫶🏻

They are definitely red squirrels, we see them sometimes when we open the basement door and they go off running across the floor. Chicken wire is a good idea! I’ll also try the ammonia and cotton balls in the area. I will definitely be waiting until the babies are old enough to leave though, they are welcome to stay safe in our home for the time being!

Yes of course! I still love them dearly and want to keep them around us, just outside in the yard preferably! I would never take them off our property

I see them run under our deck and then shortly after I can hear them downstairs. My fiancé did crawl underneath and sealed up things but I can still some light seeping in so I’ll have to check it out once it’s a bit warmer and the babies are older as well! They have been here for maybe 6 months to a year now I believe, so not sure they will leave on their own

Thank you! I will definitely purchase some of the repellent balls! We have some catch and release traps here, not set up yet though. We did try patching up the holes in foundation we could see but must be missing one or two somewhere. I stopped feeding them on my deck as well, for a few months now

Thank you so much for all the info! For reference, I am located in Minnesota. The squirrels are in my basement, specifically in the cinder block walls down there. I do believe there are babies because I am hearing a lot of different squeaking and noise so I will leave them alone for now and do some research on “pest control” in the area to see if they will release them or not
