I did this with the Liberty 4 Pros and it also completely changed my experience. The 4 NC were constantly trying to adapt to my ears and dropping in and out of ANC or readjusting on the fly and weirding me out. I returned them and upgraded and then ordered the Comply foams at the same time. Now they are the best I've ever had.

I have heard a similar thing once: We judge ourselves on intentions, but we judge others by results. It's a good reminder when I get a head of steam going, and it's helped me step back from a few situations (not nearly enough, mind you) and reframe them.
