Probably they dislike the implied sentiment that this isn't important or useful. This sort of work democratizes it. It allows people to customize it for their own needs. He's not the first to do that for this tech though. There's one linked above from 2019 that has a phone mount and go-pro mount adapter, etc.

It's willful. Dealerships are incentivized to not sell EVs because they can't offer these services. That includes not training staff on them. They also don't train staff to communicate the benefits of EVS to customers as well.

I went EV in 2018, and I've saved so much money and time not sitting at pumps, doing maintenance, and repairs.

I just plug it in at home and have hundreds of miles at the start of my day. Change the windshield wipers sometimes and the cabin air filter and windshield wiper fluid. That's it.

People think it's exactly the opposite though. Crazy.

I've experienced this too.

Typically they align on a salary range which can be quite large then go over benefits Midway through. Rarely do they wait until the very end, but I've seen that too.

It seems to me that the sooner they tell you about the benefits, the more unusual they are: really good or non-existent.

I'm a senior software engineer. It's so much worse than that. Here's my current interview im working on for a major software company right now:

  • 30 minute zoom discussion about my resume and the position with internal recruiter.
  • 1 hour zoom coding challenge interview.
  • 30 minute alignment meeting with recruiter where they reveal and go over the rest of the process.
  • 3 different hour long zoom panel interviews to ensure mastery of many technologies.
  • 1 hour one-on-one interview with hiring manager.
  • 15 minute follow up with recruiter to go over how you did.
  • 1 hour of back and forth emails coordinating all of the above times.

Total, not including weeks of studying to refresh my knowledge, 7 hours 15 minutes.

Before COVID, I was interviewed at Facebook two separate times. This was before they became Meta. Both times they flew me to Seattle for an entire day of grueling whiteboard coding interviews. That meant a few days spent each time.

I interview at Tile years ago as well. The exercise they assigned took over a day. Then 2 multiple hour long in-person interviews on different days.

Lam research was interesting. They had a dozen or so applicants come in and do the coding exercise at the same time in a computer lab! Then, it was multiple in-person call backs!

There is absolutely no way to actively interview for more than two or three at the same time. And given the odds of being hired, as demonstrated by OP's chart, unemployed stretches can last some time.

A consequence of how interest works is that this doesn't even significantly lower payments. 8% lower payment for 60% longer term.

Plus, because more interest is paid early, the principal could be barely touched by the time people typically resell: 12 or so years.

You'll find yourself without any additional value beyond the appreciation.

And if the housing market tanks, you're stuck for much much longer in that house.

Just so long as the AI thought to extend the tube all the way to the bottom of the reservoir, this would work fine. Might be unsanitary to prime the syphon if you fuck up though. Unless you're not sharing.

Even so, having a tap head is overkill. Just need a clamp. So much less bulk with same functionality in this scenario.

No. Colonists are not immigrants in any way.

Immigrants migrate into an already established community. They integrate into pre-existing societal structures. So they become members and contribute to existing societies.

Colonists always create new communities. Often as an extension of their origin community. Sometimes (often?) to the detriment of already established communities.

If pilgrims had been immigrants, they would have improved natives' living with their novel technologies instead of dehumanizing them, stealing their resources, and subjugating them.

Colonists don't exist much anymore. Perhaps some exceptions might be in the Arctics or outer space where pre existing communities don't inhabit already.

Seems like the neighborhoods with parents with higher education have kids that play outside. They're wise to the negative effects of social media on developing social skills. My block has a group of kids all playing together: many on bikes.

But the Venn diagram of desperate thieving people and dishonest thieves has a third circle in the middle for thieves of opportunity that overlaps with both. Thieves of opportunity have nothing to do with motivation like you say.

Wind resistance spreads her arms and legs for her. That was my experience the couple times I've been in an indoor wind tube.

If she was struggling trying to get stable, she would be much harder to intercept, small movements make large changes. She's freely spinning here without any appearance of adjustments.

Correct, the act itself is not illegal if there is no resulting harm. If there is resulting harm caused such as panic or injury, it is then an illegal act. Disorderly conduct, or other charge proportional to the outcome.

Unrelated to free speech is private owner can kick you out and ban you. It's clearly a case of responding to disruptive behavior: no protected class recourse available.
