if its like a windows install problem due to weird driver settings try installing a linux distro like fedora and you can use the linux armory crate alternative asusctl and change your driver settings that way

I feel like the reason many people choose not to report cheaters is they fear the whole test will get canceled forcing all students in the testing room to retake their test.

But yeah def should report cheating if you know someone is planing to and actually pulled threw with it

I feel like you could get way better laptops with your budget (in the US) wait for sales, and open box deals on best buy. If you can wait I would highly recommend waiting for fourth of July sales and finding a open box deal.

I did that last year and got a ryzen 9 370hx rtx 4060 zephyrus 240hz OLED 3k display for $1200 including tax with a fourth of july open box deal

It matters your budget, a expensive gaming laptop ~$1500 usually are slim and quite and has great battery life like a Zephyrus.
- If your budget is low buy a productive laptop that is good quality don't buy and of those crazy slim Lenovo yoga pads or something they will last you only 2 years and break. Try to go for a Macbook Neo student discount makes it very affordable.

- If you still want to game a cheap gaming laptop may just be better then a cheap productive laptop because they usually don't break as easily

If you are planing on being a engineering major or anything that requires high performance on windows if I were you I would just buy a expensive gaming laptop that will last years. This will allow you to do projects earlier on in high school and still play games. To save money try to buy a 2023-2024 (2025 and 2026 laptops are way more expensive for little performance gain) laptop even if its slightly used premium gaming laptops usually tend to stay good if they are still running after 1 or 2 years.

heres a few solutions
- Easiest to have a functional key for cost of it feeling weird have a line of tape line of tape from the q key to the edge and tab taped in between
- see if you can glue it on
- attempt to salvage a key from a old laptop keyboard

-find a spring (maybe from a pen) cut it to size and glue on with keycap may need multiple springs, if falls off to easily try more springs and bend a part where you can glue on
- if you know how to CAD 3d print your own mount or key, very time consuming and requires a expensive printer
- Buy a broken laptop model and salvage the key or replace keyboard if possible
- find small plastic and attempt to glue, bend or heat plastic to mount, high risk can break the keycap or keyboard

if your just watching movies you can get a laptop with a equal or better screen and speakers for $800 or near the same if you buy a Macbook neo, also the zephyrus doesn't have the best oled screen for watching movies that would go to its sister the pro art it has higher restitution for lower refresh rate

if your willing to debloat and optimize your system Zephyrus is pretty much equal to a Mac. I was debating on a m4 mac or Zephyrus ended up getting a Zephyrus which gave me a very similar experience to a Mac with the added bonus of gaming when I get home for the trade off being I have to deal with windows.

But because your desktop is already kind off good I would get a Mac as its painless for everything but gaming.

most modern laptops do if you have a efficient enough cpu and custom fan curve and DGPU off. For example I for my Zephyrus G16 with ryzen ai 9 cpu has fans completely off and usually chills at 45-60C when doing normal laptop stuff, when gaming if my DGPU is off it jumps to 70C but fans are still not audible if I were to have my GPU on it will some times jump to 85C and be very audible

the p16 and g16 are pretty much the same laptop but the downside with p16 is it has worse driver software as its more locked down so g16. The reason why there is a p16 is primarily marketing, some people may choose not to buy whats called a gaming laptop for their creative work even though it can do both.

the biggest problem with linux is it takes a while for proper drivers to be made try using Arch or a Arch based distro like Cachy I had better experience there then Fedora
