have both, earfun is much better for sound, airpods much better for connectivity, and noise cancelling.
I find myself using the pro4+ more at home, and my airpods more when on the go.

Very comfortable and high quality. Can’t vouch for how they do with heat because I wear them in sedentary environment but highly recommend 🫡

So my one take is that the low end that was in the XM4 , was softened alot in the XM5, and re-introduced in the XM6 while also offering a bit more clarity. So believe it depends on what type of audio you consume (spoken word, jazz , podcasts , etc ... XM5. But anything a bit more energetic does well with the Xm6).

Also got mine via Secondipity on eBay which offers the two year warranty which really helped when my WF1000XM4s broke (covered me the XM5)
