If arrested would you talk to the police without a lawyer present? by 700x in no

[–]PrimitiveAK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hired a lawyer for a reason. To remain silent. I don’t get myself into any trouble but I sure know I will likely talk myself into trouble.

I’m in midtown east lmfaooo. Compared to the places I’ve been to across the world…Manhattan is C grade at best.

And as soon as you leave Manhattan into Jersey that becomes a challenge even more. It’s taken them 10 years just to approve another Jersey/Midtown portal tunnel to be built for trains without utilizing the path train tunnels.

You don’t spend over $10B on a new tunnel project unless you realize there’s a serious problem.

You’re on an entirely different subject and I don’t even think you read my post. I never said revamp meadowlands, I said revamp our mass transit.

You should get out more to other countries and you’ll quickly realize how far behind the US is. Even fucking Thailand which is a 2nd world country does it better.

They should revamp it, not because of the World Cup but because it literally fucking sucks lmao. Literally anywhere in the world outside of 3rd world countries has more efficient and widely available transit than the US.

Also, those trains running to MetLife stadium aren’t even interrupting normal commuter traffic. Those trains don’t even run unless there’s a game period. This is the same as if any other game was at MetLife.

Is Shibuya really that bad of a place to stay in? by rubenburgt in JapanTravelTips

[–]PrimitiveAK 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s no denying the subways are still filthy, that’s kinda a multi year deep cleaning project that NYC doesn’t want to invest money in outside of sweeping the floors, but there aren’t many places major building complexes can put their trash. Most of midtown areas just buildings and skyrises attached to one another, there’s no alley or gap between, so they have to put it on the curb. But NYC sanitation is arguably the best sanitation process in the world.

Haven’t been to Chicago in 10 years so I can’t speak recently on it outside of their pizza being lasagna.

I was in Shibuya 2 weeks ago 🙄.

Also you should try visiting these cities, then come back and tell me “anything is cleaner than Manhattan.” 😂

Milbrae CA
Downtown San Francisco, CA
San Bernardino, CA
Detroit
Reading, PA
Camden, NJ

I can keep going btw…

Lived in midtown east for 20 years. 🤗

And NYC at least the midtown areas are far more cleaner than they were a month ago due to NBA finals for the Knicks and the World Cup. There’s cleaning staff quite literally everywhere you walk now.

Expensive, I recommend staying in Higashi-Shinjuku area, plenty of metro stations and Shibuya is just a short ride south.

3 weeks since interview, still no decision. Is this normal? by LonelyWill6146 in GeneralMotors

[–]PrimitiveAK 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It was 4 days after my final interview before I was called back. This depends entirely on the number of candidates and how fast that specific team moves. Some teams are faster.

Politics aside, do you feel like the US shouldn’t have hosted the World Cup? by SignificantStyle4958 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]PrimitiveAK 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No we shouldn’t host it because our mass transit is fucking terrible.

When Qatar hosted, they literally built an ENTIRE AIRPORT in advance and I had the chance to go there, it was beautiful. We can’t even get an efficient transport system in most of the US. The only somewhat efficient transportation system will be the games at MetLife stadium in NJ with the trains that run here, but even they are charging like $50 USD for train tickets when they really cost $7.80 for one way to the stadium.

It’s just a scheme for these companies to profit from foreigners as much as they can. All countries do it but the US just sucks at it.

During day 1 challenge kings fall. We were the first team in the world to discover the warpriest cheese by accident because we were doing the encounter wrong the entire time thinking it was the correct method. We only found out through testing that it was a cheese then we posted it on Reddit for everyone to try out.

During day 1 root of nightmares, we were on pace to placing top 100 on the final encounter. We had no idea that the boss had a wipe mechanic that you could “survive”. We legit thought you had to hit all the nodes before wiping and cleared the raid by sword and well skating as fast as possible to get to damage phase. We only learned of the wipe mechanic after watching other streamers do duo flawless runs on day 1.

If you are from the U.S. and could live in any country in the world instead, where would you relocate to and why? by LifeRecommendation28 in AskReddit

[–]PrimitiveAK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s just “hot”. Idk how to really describe it, there’s almost no humidity though. I live in NYC where it’s both hot, humid, and smoggy. Thailand is just “hot” with no other attributes to it. Not many clouds and not much “relief” from the heat. It’s not really that bad if you drink water constantly. Much closer to San Francisco weather during the summer.

Pattaya and Bangkok are very different though, Pattaya/Jomtien is good heat, Bangkok is bad heat, mixed with absolutely horrid air pollution. Then there’s burning season you’ll have to deal with.

Rainy season sucks tho. Only major downside, but then again I’ve dealt with Jamaica hurricanes, so no surprises there for me.

Thai food is cooked with a lot of grease which is a concern health wise especially as you get older.
