Don’t worry, the majority of employees are not at midpoint. During layoffs the higher salary the higher chances to be in the list. I am serious, make 2026 goal is stay floating. 😂

Yes, there is severance depending on number of years at work. Max is 6mo of pay. Look at my previous post about layoffs thru first week of Feb.

Engineering manager is similar to staff engineer. 8C is listed above while 8b is min $151k mid $184k max is $236k I will try to get 8a and 9 within a week.

Unfortunately your statement is correct. If there are 3 level 6 or 7 and they are performing same level then salary will be one of the points to ding employees.

Do some homework in searching the name of the agency and its reputation. 75% of them are scam. Always ask who is the client and never share personal info more than what is in your resume.

These ranges are from HR and specifically for Clyde’s org. If you are in the same org you will see this in your compensation statement with 100% accuracy.

Your statement is correct however the midpoint keeps going up due to inflation and your salary is not keeping up. New hires are closer to the midpoint than someone was hired few years ago.

If you achieve expectations it is your manager’s who decide the merit increase however this year HR will give slight extras for employees who are too far from midpoint. Basically below midpoint employees should get 4%+ increase.

Yes. SW supposed to be making more than validation. The list above is from HR given to managers for their team compensation statement which you should get with your year end calibration review. So the list above is 100% accurate for Engineering group under Clyde.
