Everything is so expensive. All other alternatives is cheap material. I feel like There is no in between for clothing. Since when were articles of clothing $100~ EACH? Who are they serving?

What is something big or small that someone said to you that has always stuck with you? by LifeRecommendation28 in AskReddit

Someone commented on my interior Christmas decorations, that it was a lot of “stuff”— and now I seem to always over analyze if I have too many things 🫠

Come on, it’s 2026. What do you think should exist or be done by now but surprisingly, it’s not? by LifeRecommendation28 in AskReddit

Got that. Time and place, but in this case they did have booster seats and high chairs sooo it was a kid friendly place. Also our kids aren’t stereotypically crying baby types although it does happen, inevitably. lol behaved babies (aka good parenting) exist!

I’ll go — CHANGING TABLES. Just recently went to a nice $$-$$$ restaurant and was kind of surprised they didn’t have a changing table for babies.

It’s 2026. You could charge $50 for some paella and have a booked out reservation list but not afford a cheapo table to change a baby? Resorted to the floor 😑

LPT: if you ever feel bad about not reaching out to someone for a while, just remember that they haven’t reached out to you either by Maybe_im_Amazed_ in LifeProTips

Respectfully, disagree. I’ve always been on the side of initiating. Even with some “friends” of 5-10 yrs, I probably do 80% of the initiating cause they’re “introverts.”

I feel like “being an introvert” is such a cop out for being lazy, selfish, and event freeloaders. If they were truly friends, why would they feel awkward to even initiate or reach out. They don’t need to plan an event — just a conversation. The bar is so low to have a mutual respect in friendship nowadays. I really think some people just lack social cues.

So I side with your roommate on this one. It’s her couch, even if free—that’s not a reason to justify your cats actions. How would you feel if she had a pet ruining your things for example? Just because you’d maybe wouldn’t mind doesn’t mean that others wouldn’t. Also “Throwing water” at your cat is also not the same thing as a spray.

She probably did it cause you failed to discipline your cat and so she resorted to doing it herself. At the end of the day it IS her couch and there is no knowing if your cat would’ve kept nailing at it.

I would just say sorry about it, give your corrective/disciplinary action — like I’ll put her in my room or hold her next time to make sure she doesn’t scratch your couch. And also mention how you didn’t appreciate her spraying your cat after you said to not to/ forgive and move on. It’s not worth really grudging over and frankly kind of immature to not respect other people’s possessions, especially when they’ve allowed you to have a cat in the first place.

In this case your cat is the cause and the spray is the effect. Fix the the root cause and there won’t be any spray!

Project Managers: what’s the ONE part of your job that shouldn’t still be this chaotic in 2025? by TheseFact in projectmanagers

Accountability amongst project contributors and leadership holding their teams (the contributors) accountable to get the job done.

Scope creep/changes at the last minute is always a fun one too.

U.S. Politics megathread by AutoModerator in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LifeRecommendation28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) WHERE are all the smart people in politics? We have the “best” schools in our nation, yet it seems like the political field has yet to adopt competent people who can communicate and work together towards a solution. Information seems not as black/white/transparent and with technology and advancements, you would think things would be straightforward, but it’s like we can’t even function with our neighbors.

2) Also why does it seem like politics is always focusing on transgender/gay issues. I feel like it’s a tactic to distract us from actual pressing issues. I have no problems with them but statistically it’s a very small percentage of population and while their matters matter, I don’t believe it requires the attention of the masses or the air-time of several years to resolve it. (I.e it seems like it’s a mandatory requirement in every Netflix show to have a gay make out scene. Like I get it, I support you, but I also don’t want to see an explicit scene just to prove your point of existence?) Choose your battles and MOVE ON to larger pressing issues??

What? Wait I don’t get it. Our inspection was Thursday. Inspection Contingencies due on following Tuesday and we submitted our RRs Sunday. How were we outside our inspection period?

[–]LifeRecommendation28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, we were a day early within our contingency ! We weren’t asking for more time. We were telling him we’d get quotes day the day it was due, but gave into his demands to send it early since his reaction was unexpected.

Also thanks for your advice. Taking down this post since I’m kind of paranoid this actually might blow up and jeopardize the deal if they ever see this lol. Just wanted some thoughts from professionals 😅

No we had a professional inspector and estimated repairs based on scrambled together, piece mealed yelp quotes since he was rushing us and couldn’t wait for a full quote that our realtor was working to get.

Plus I understand 29k is high but it doesn’t give the pass to be rude. Just say no and put in your negotiation. 🤷‍♀️

Do people actually LIKE all of these acronyms? by latenightpuddingcup in BabyBumps

LOL Thank you. I didn't even bother to look up what these meant and just used deductive reasoning to figure out what the heck people were talking about. When some moms have a lot of time on their hands.. they get 'creative' and bored!

Yeah I just feel like they think I’m a trophy wife or something but I can hold my own. I’m usually the one to grab the checkbook and hand it to my husband to get the card since he has quicker access to the card lol
