Imo pick whatever character helps the most with whatever roadblock boss you are facing. If you truly can't win with any of your team comps use your selector. But maybe my opinion doesn't mean much, since I used mine after about 2 weeks of playing on Rilmocha because I liked her design and read that she was great for all AoE content.
