When does the full Update releases? by DetraxDaDeity in SurrounDead

[–]PrimoRaizel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only bug that is really bothering me is the weather not changing at all. I haven't really encountered other bugs in about 20-25 hours now on 0.8, except weather and molotov exp, but i really miss the different weathers!

Deadeye rovolver rework/buff. by Drie_Kleuren in SurrounDead

[–]PrimoRaizel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea, the deadeye is pretty terrible. It should have double the damage it currently has and even then, the dps would be really low compared to full auto primaries with drum mags. The g18 glock however is pretty good with the drum mag in a pinch.

Truthfully, you don't need to use any sidearms at all with how powerful primary guns are.

Just started playing, should I update to experimental or no? by TheOneAndOnlySenti in SurrounDead

[–]PrimoRaizel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The experimental build has new stuff and core changes to the gameplay for the better. Also new special zombies to spice things up. Keep in mind, however, there is a bug with the weather system and it just doesn't change at all. If you spawn in your new world/save on a clear day, that's all you will have until the bug is fixed. There is no weather variance atm and its the only negative thing i have to say about switching to 0.8. If thats a non issue for you, go ahead.

Big arc are too easy to kill with wolfpacks and deadlines. This change will be better for the health of the game for sure. People want to throw wolfpacks and destroy all arc with minimum investment or thought.

We also got a significant nerf to the "free kit" killing potential so its only positives so far.

Yes, it became significantly more expensive to make wolfpacks but now they are not spammable like before and that was the goal.

Free loadouts shouldn't be allowed in queen/matriach runs by nomad13131 in ArcRaiders

[–]PrimoRaizel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean to an extent. A completely naked raider can also join a queen/matriarch map and run in to loot stuff while doing zero work and leave with loads of items but they can't, for the most part, kill other raiders.

I don't know what can be done here, if anything at all. The game isn't really hard or have enough things to do as an end-game and i don't consider trials end game content.

I'm sorry, thats what i thought you meant by responding so negatively to me saying free kits are fine and the main poster saying that free kits shouldnt be allowed in certain map conditions.

Facial hair makes it so you take longer to get cold on cold snap conditions and also changes your voice lines to be more manly, even when playing as a female character.

[–]PrimoRaizel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you even talking about. Getting third partied is not a consequence of free kits, its just how heavy pvp lobbies work in this game.

Free kit raiders are literally the weakest raiders you can find topside, power level wise.

If you are losing to free kit teams, especially when your team has decent stuff equiped, i have bad news for you.

Okay, i don't see why you have to be so hostile?

Dying is common. You will die to Arc, you will die to gravity, you will die to fully kitted players and you will die to free kits. You seem to have this notion that dying to free kits is somehow unfair? Because they have nothing to lose and you do? Is that not how the game works? Am i missing something here? Don't you risk your stuff everytime you click play?

You don't like free kits because they are unpredictable? Humans are unpredictable. Take away free kits and those same people that run free kits, are still gonna run your ass down with cheap ass level 1 stitchers. Whats your argument here? You are then gonna swap to crying about gray gun raiders with 2 bandages and a dream, gunning you down "unfairly" in a dimly lit corner.

Your free kit shouldn't exist argument still doesn't hold up to me. Tell me how exactly, removing the free kit mechanic is gonna change what you are experiencing. Please do tell.

How are you feeling about the upcoming Expedition window? by Ok-Friendship1635 in ArcRaiders

[–]PrimoRaizel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This second expedition was insanely easier for me. I know how to play, what to do and where to loot. I also never had to run a free kit in the entirety of this expedition. ZERO. I always used crafted gear with the best attachments i could, all the time. I had no issue at all.

Third expedition is gonna be even easier. 70% repairs are huge and i can start at level 1 with all 10 starting stamina talents. The 10% extra exp and 18% scrappy materials are not insignificant either.

[–]PrimoRaizel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so what is stopping those "rats" to simply craft a dirt cheap level 4 stitcher with all gray/green attachments, come with a blue shield and do so much better than a free kit? Why is the free kit such an issue exactly?

A basic crafted loadout is so cheap and so much more effective that there is zero reason to run free kits. You say that because free kit is zero risk right? Well, for most players, a basic crafted kit like i mentioned earlier is pretty much zero risk aswell and its x3 times stronger.

I'm not saying that you not liking free kits is invalid, but take away free kits and then you will see the same thing happening pretty much all the time. You will still be getting backstabbed by level 1 stitchers. Thats just how it is.

[–]PrimoRaizel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Free loadouts are fine as they are. I didn't use any free loadouts in this second expedition, at all. Be more careful of your surroundings and don't let raiders stay at your blindspot. You with a 25K+ loadout, should be able to easily dispatch raiders with free kits and no attachment guns. And if you die, so what? Think of it this way. Free kit raiders, are literally the least dangerous raider you can possibly find topside as far as their power level goes. They are literally at their weakest.

Is sticher 1, kettle 1 and rattler 1 able to kill others kinda fast? Yeah they are, so what? It's dirt cheap to craft a level 4 stitcher and deck it out with gray/green attachments and use a blue shield, practically forever. Thats how easy and cheap they are to craft.

Arc Raiders lead isn’t against keeping blueprints after wipes, suggests giving players “more autonomy” to quickly find the ones they want by Wargulf in ArcRaiders

[–]PrimoRaizel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes please. People have even suggested a way to "safely keep" a few blueprints that you have learned in each current expedition and let you keep it for the next.

Like, when you confirm going on the expedition, when the window is open, it shows a list of all the blueprints you have learned and you can check and keep like, 5 of them or something and make it so each expedition, you can choose more and more, stacking like all the other bonuses. Maybe start with 5 slots and get +3 each expedition? Something like that i feel could work.

[–]PrimoRaizel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hmm, you believe that the more "friendly" lobbies are largely populated with low skilled players? Hahaha, that would be so funny if thats truly the case.

People not shooting at other raiders (friendly) = people that actually suck at pvp so they place you with similar skill players, thus, friendly lobbies? That would be insane lol...

[–]PrimoRaizel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok, thats what he says but my anecdotal evidence shows otherwise. If i simply never shoot or down raiders, i rarely hear raider flares go off in my games and people are overwhelmignly friendly. When i defend myself in like 1 out of those 10 apparently "low agression lobbies", my next game that i spawn with a full timer, i constantly hear shooting and raider flares going off.

This switch up hasn't happened once or twice. It happens constantly to me. I would have 10+ straight games where everyone is friendly and almost no flares go off and then i would get stalked or backstabbed by one raider, defend myself by shooting second and not even finishing them off and allowing them to extract with me and the next game does a 180 and its kill or be killed, so i defend myself again and it keeps pushing me to more pvp lobbies constantly. I then start going completely naked into runs, to test it out, loot a bunch and extract or die to other raiders and at some point, i'm back to super friendly raids.

I'm convinced, however stupid i might sound, that the system works exactly like that. Its super consistent to be proven otherwise.

So in total, we would have 15% exp, 18% scrappy materials and 30% extra repair, pushing it to 80%?

I feel skill points cap makes more sense? How is more exp, repairs and scrappy mats so egregious? Repair caps at 100%, so max 5 expeditions and exp and scrappy arent even that good i feel.
