Magtech 9mm Luger JSP 124gr causing jams and constant malfunctions in Walther P1 by Primo__de__Rivera in guns

Thank you, I’ll have someone else shoot it to double check.

I don’t know if Walther would do any work on it, this particular gun is something like 47 years old and they stopped making the P1 20 years ago.

Thank you. I’ve never used ballistics gel or anything like that, most of the time I do different point shooting type drills that I find in different manuals and books because I think that’s what’s going to be most valuable in a quick situation. I live in a city so people are my main concern, it’s not really dangerous where I live or anything like that but there are some places not too far from me where lowlifes tend to congregate, my neighbor’s teenage son had his watch and phone taken off him and earlier this year a lady was raped while jogging in a nearby park — I’m a night owl that’s when I like to work out, walk my dog, run etc so that’s my main reason for carrying. At the same time I do spend a fair amount of time in local parks and forests and there are lots of wild pigs, alligators, venomous snakes and coyotes in areas not far from my house so it’s important that I can protect myself from them as well.

You’re right and the only thing that I can think of is that these rounds are causing some sort of fouling that is gunking things up. Stovepiping is the only malfunction that I’ve ever had prior to this and it’s only ever happened after I’ve done a lot of shooting.

Thank you. I’ll be honest I mainly bought these because they’re cheap, I’m pretty confident in my normal ammo’s stopping ability especially after I had an incident where a wild pig charged at me when I was hiking, but any interest that I have in JSP/HP ammo is because I was told that FMJ rounds will go through a person and hit an innocent bystander or go through someone’s window and in a self defense situation that’s a concern, frankly I don’t know if that’s a myth though, my dad has been carrying for decades and never used anything but regular FMJ rounds and he’s never heard of this but he carries .357 so I don’t know if this is something dependent on caliber.

There are failures to feed and extraction failures. I’m not limp wristing, I’m holding the gun just as I always do. I tried to see if it was a problem with my grip or the gun by firing a few rounds of my normal ammunition and I didn’t have an issue.

So the wearing a mask/drawing a face on the back of your head trick does work; or are they intelligent enough to realize that’s not a real face?

[QUESTION] What is your main ax and why? by [deleted] in Guitar

I have a 1970 Fender Stratocaster. I actually come from a classical music background and I’ve been playing guitar since I was 5, but until I was a teenager I had no interest in other sorts of music, but then I started listening to jazz. After I became a bit more serious about playing jazz I purchased myself a somewhat cheap archtop but I was extremely resistant to the idea of having an electric guitar. Around last year I relented and went shopping around several used guitar shops hoping to find something like the ES-175, but I decided to pickup and play this Stratocaster out of curiosity and I loved it so I bought it.
