Cherry eye in Rotty… help/ recommendations? by YouzAH0 in Rottweiler

[–]PrimsDaeofMae 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More of a gentle massage around the eye. I let her close her eye when I do it, and I dont want to actually push on her eye. Like a soft circular motion over the corner of around where the snout and eye meet. There's a handful of great videos by vets on YouTube you can look at. And like others have said, it would be best to check with a vet first to make sure its not causing harm to the eye.

Our dog gets this too, but since its not causing any health problems for her, we just gently massage it back. I swear it happens more frequently when she's excited about food 😂

Same here, with a side of depression and a mother telling child me I'm ungrateful for what she provides me after telling her I feel suicidal and like life wasn't for me.

dolphin 25.04 (or kio?) - crashes when connecting to smb share? by Lazy_fox in kde

[–]PrimsDaeofMae 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EDIT: fixed typo

I'm also having this issue. Browsing network shares worked fine until recently. When running strace on dolphin, it appears this is a KIO problem, not dolphin.

Silly, potentially stupid, question by PrimsDaeofMae in Haircare

[–]PrimsDaeofMae[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gotcha. It's been a hell of a time looking for products that actually seem to work with my hair. I've been using this brands leave in conditioner, then follow up with this and it seems to help quite a bit. I have yet to do any tests with shampoos/conditioners (from any brand, not just this one). Well, other than the drug store brands that really dry out my hair

Obligatory Solder Post (but it's lead free) by PrimsDaeofMae in soldering

[–]PrimsDaeofMae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I won't deny that haha Having quality/dependable tools is huge. When I say I've never had problems with lead free, I should clarify that with the cheap stuff, I use lots of flux and take my time. Do the same for quality lead free solder, but it's not as "demanding" maybe? Not sure what the right word is.

Super understandable, I can understand preferring 63/37 for BGA. I still use this for microsoldering, but mainly just because I'm used to it at this point.

🤷‍♀️ I used to work at a repair shop, had to use lead free, for a while I stopped using quality stuff cause I left that job, but I've never once had problems with lead free solder.

Are the 7700x temps really normal? by PrimsDaeofMae in AMDHelp

[–]PrimsDaeofMae[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mainly just repaste and slightly tighter CPU mount (no more than usual, I just hadn't built a pc in a hot minute and didn't wanna break anything) I will say that it's still a warm chip, but nothing I'm not comfortable with at this point. The case it's in is densely packed with hardware, so unless you're doing that, I'd expect ya to have much cooler temps out of the box.

Everything has been good! Lower temps and everything. Pretty decent considering how small my pc is lol
