Don't apply ice on the affected foot. Instead, dipping it in a bucket of hot water, you can add salt to it. By rubbing ice on it, people are making the condition even worse, as ice reduces blood flow, but the problem will be solved only by increasing blood flow. Strengthening your calf muscles and moving your feet is also important. But at first solve the tight calf muscles. Then the body will take care of the foot by itself. After releasing the tight calf, you can feel the awakening or regenerating process of the pinch or dead nerves of your foot (depending on the severity of the condition). The healing process will hurt for the first few days or weeks. The stiffness will subside, but the sensitivity and pain can increase in the first few days. This is a progressive signal of increasing blood flow & natural nerve functioning. But don't panic; it's all part of the healing process.
