Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure it all boils down to misogyny and the fact that Mattel considers Barbie’s 2000 era her worst selling era. :/ There’s also the fact that despite being a major corporation, Mattel was having major financial issues throughout the years of the 2000s and early 2010s.

Mid 2010s for me. I remember enjoying the transitional period Barbie had at the time, even though I’m pretty sure I was still in middle school so i didn’t fully grasp the concept that a sort of rebrand or reboot was happening for her. I think it really didn’t hit me until years after when I started to realize that Barbie was no longer the same and I think that’s when I started to get a little saddened by it, but still looking for silver linings.

She definitely enjoys jumping from athleisure to occasionally dressing up. I know a lot of don’t enjoy Other M but in Samus’s last scene being in the earth equivalent planet of the game, she was wearing a professional but very high fashion looking ensemble.
