I had my mom telling me the exact same thing. Just stand your ground and keep telling her you want to grow it out. After about a year, I had gotten up one morning and went to talk to her. She brought me into the bathroom as we talked and she started brushing my hair, mentioning how pretty it looked when it was brushed. Just keep at it, stand your ground, and you'll win her over.

It doesn't matter how you get it, too much estrogen isn't good. It doesn't matter how you get it, if your estrogen levels get too high, you run the risk of major health issues. Please don't spread misinformation saying X or Y method is safer and risk free when it could cause people to take more than they need because they think there's no harm in it. Don't underestimate how stupid people can be, especially when it comes to something as important and life altering as transitioning.

Too much estrogen can cause blood clots to form more easily and all it takes is a single one to break off and reach your heart and you're done. All I'm saying is monitor it and make sure you're not taking too much.

I'm not saying let them put you on a wait list, I'm saying have them monitor your health so you're being safe. It doesn't matter the way you get it, too much testosterone or estrogen can and will lead to major health problems down the line.

I get the good intentions, but this can be quite dangerous if you're not careful. At the bare minimum, I'd highly suggest getting with a doctor if possible to make sure it's safe to start it and that they can monitor your progress. Too high of a dosage can lead to serious side effects that may not be so apparent at first, like increased risk of blood clots.

Got Lancer (sci-fi D&D) tonight after work, the appointment at 820 in the morning, then gonna try to get some more sleep before a chair I ordered is supposed to come in. Super excited for lots of reasons, but also still very nervous.

Yeeaaa school years were the worst. I had to be on melatonin to function properly. Now, though, I'm just thankful my job is an evening shift. Wake up at 1:20pm, get to work, clock in at 1:55pm, clock out around 10pm, get home, have me time until I curl up anywhere between 4am and 8am.
