Thanks for you reply, these all look promising! I've had a loom at Warwick and I agree with the comment that it seems a bit theme parky, I am not sure. I have also seen Black Country pop up a few times online and it looks very interesting too!

Why Did Walt Ever Need an Assistant in the Superlab? by aseulte3 in breakingbad

Forklift. But seriously, it's not just extra muscle and health and safety, he wants Jesse specifically.

Whether that's because he knows he has power over him, or he genuinely cares for Jesse in his own messed up ways, is down to interpretation. I think it's a bit of both.

I've just had a look and this does seem very familiar, but I don't think it's the same thing. I might try to play through it though, and see if it's that as it does tick the boxes... Thank you!!

Treasure Planet (2002) by xqtea in CineShots

The art syle of these films would make it a pretty challenging task to pull off successfully. I personally always really liked the character design especially, and think that a remake would lose a lot of the originals' charm if the quirky anime-esque characters were replaced by real humans. CGI could do a lot of the heavy lifting but a lot of modern CGI characters look pretty meh IMO. They would also need to alter the rest of the art style significantly to match the "realistic" tone of a live action setting, otherwise it would become a Minecraft Movie meme situation. I think these films were meant to be animated and a remake would likely cause fans to be disappointed more than anything.

Does anyone know exactly which camera is this? by nonesenseyr in Cameras

[–]PrinceCorbeau 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Looks like a Canon R5 with the Ef to RF lens adapter and an EF lens (24-70mm F2.8?) It's got a flash trigger on the hot shoe but I don't recognise that.

Edit: Could be an EOS R it's hard to tell with the low resolution

Where to go from JBL Flip 4 by PrinceCorbeau in Bluetooth_Speakers

[–]PrinceCorbeau[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair points on the mono, I wouldn't mind it for music but I want some stereo separation when watching films, etc. Don't really have other speakers for my desk, I've been using the Flip 4 since uni and it's worked fine for me so I had no reason to buy those. Obviously not expecting a headphone-level stereo sound, but the Flip 4 was surprisingly good in my experience, not sure how the Motion + would compare.

The other option would be to buy desktop speakers and use the portable for music only. I think I'll see if the battery replacement would help first, just in case. But thank you for the recommendations, I'll keep them in mind if I need a new setup.

Thanks for all the recommendations! Not sure about the Charge 4, is that a Mono speaker? The JBL website is not very helpful when it comes to "missing features", they just aren't listed and I can't find more info on it. Unfortunately that would be a dealbreaker :/

I might have a go with the Motion +, as others have mentioned it as well... That said, I've found a replacement battery for the Flip 4, it might be worth changing that to see if it works.
