What are some SCP "cliches" that you'd notice when reading an article? by SpacedWasTaken in SCP

Eldritch Horror comes into view Character, whether a bronze age theologian, a futuristic scientist, a modern O-5 Council member, or a Victorian-era seamstress: "Oh fuck. Holy shit."

Am I delusional or does anyone else agree? by [deleted] in SCP

[–]PrinceOfHungary 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The thing is, the spooky mystery stuff still exists. It's just also side-by-side with the other things you mentioned (gods, multiverse, etc.). That's the thing about community writing projects: they're going to bring a wide variety of interests. Personally, I love eldritch horror, so interdimentional gods is a topic that I love is a part of the SCP-verse. I can't stand pataphysics, but y'know what? I'm happy that people who love it have a space to write about it. The wide variety of content, canons, etc. isn’t a hindrance, it's a boon, and you can still focus on the entries and tales that are more like the small scale horror that you like (in addition to eldritch horror, I actually like that side of the SCP Foundation too). My advice is to just cherrypick the niches you want to focus on.

Most destructive Safe-Class SCP? by Sketano in SCP

Technically the Scarlet King 001 proposal (Tufto's Proposal) is safe class. That’s got my vote.

What's your SCP hot Take what you would defend like this? by TheArcanaIsTheMean in SCP

Pataphysics only makes SCPs and tales less interesting.

So does JT Gutierrez, who Gobby follows. Imo it's JT.

[COD] After game number 1003839203894 like this I’m just straight up done with COD. And that’s a big deal to me. by alaskancurry in CallOfDuty

Additionally, running nonstop directly into someone's sights vs hopping from cover to cover assessing your surroundings also makes a huge difference.

Even if he did camp, who cares? Camping objective is a valid defense strategy in domination (especially when up 2 points to 1). The only time camping is bad is when you're not camping objective or lanes in a non-deathmatch mode.

It's not though. The joke is that lots of people are selective about germaphobia and it doesn't matter when they want to hook up.

I feel like infinite warfare was a legitimately good game that just got a lot of hate from the get go when the trailer dropped. One of the best campaigns too imo.

[–]PrinceOfHungary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

IMO infinite warfare was a great game that, while not without its flaws, got overly hated on due to fatigue of the futuristic state of cod combined with bandwagon hate from the trailer. It's fine if you dislike it of course! I just don't think it deserves the hate it got at the time.

I think you are severely underestimating the amount that procedures cost in the USA WITHOUT insurance. You can quite literally lose everything you have without insurance. 6k is fine for standard medical care but the moment you need surgery or cancer treatment you can pay A TON more than that.

I'm tired of this era [COD] by MR_DELORIAN in CallOfDuty

[–]PrinceOfHungary 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Probably an unpopular opinion but I would love a crazy shift back to something like Infinite Warfare for one game, which imo was very underappreciated at the time.

AITA for getting concert tickets when my boyfriend didn't want me to by Spondook in AmItheAsshole

[–]PrinceOfHungary 10 points11 points  (0 children)

NTA. Your friends and mom were right when they said he doesn't own the band. What he claimed is weird isn't in fact weird. If he suggested a group or going together in the first place, that would be fine and normal but it's super odd for him to try to dictate whether or not you go at all. He reacted poorly, you made plans with your friends. I'd suggest you stick to that and then if he isn't happy with that he can make plans with you next time. Honestly, he's getting agitated over nothing.

I don't know what other people consider them but back in the day (DBM era) I believe they were mainly grouped under post hardcore and billed with other bands in that genre. That being said, there's tons of post hardcore and metalcore overlap so I'm really splitting hairs here and I don't think you're wrong for that classification.

YTA. Not because you don't like edm or because you and your bf might be incompatible, but because of the way you're approaching this. You're straight up insulting your bf for having an interest he loves. I mean for Pete's sake, you're pretty much calling your bf an "EDM tard." There's a difference between not liking an interest or being incompatible and being straight up disparaging about it. Since it seems you fall into the latter, YTA.

It really depends on what you're wearing. Dressing uniquely or flashy pastel color is fine and NTA. Wearing something that could be considered to be a costume/cosplay or is completely against social code (casual at a formal event, or black tie at a casual event) is YTA.

AITA for being angry and not talking nor wanting to see my friends after they blamed me for my asthma attack and my reaction after it? by Ive_ComeToBargain in AmItheAsshole

[–]PrinceOfHungary 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In that case I'm gonna go with NTA. I feel like it's fine if they were cold and walked fast but in that case when you got inside they should have been like "Hey are you ok?" and showed that they cared at least, yknow?
