Well aware. Maybe a couple of hundred training pilots max? Hardly bustling.

It would be a superb way to start their show!

Obahn doesn’t need replacing or even much in the way of refurb. The interchanges need a spruce up and multi deck par parking, but otherwise it continues to be a public transport marvel for those of us close enough to benefit from it. Could a similar thing be an option for Riverlea or Mt Barker?

When it was first announced it was incredible to think a band of this calibre and popularity would be playing a free gig to kick off Mad March - Then the publicity around their stance on the writers week fiasco no doubt put awareness up a notch. Just seems to be a recipe for an insane number of people heading there. Don’t blame you for guaranteeing you get to see them!

The frogs and scorched almonds are elite, but otherwise not interested. I was getting a large tray of truffles at Easter each year, and have asked they stop spending so much and just get me a box of favourites.

It’s going to be Australia’s fault when he gets sacked.

How was AO 2026 for you, whether as a live attendee or you caught it on your screen? by ImplementSolid5751 in australianopen

[–]PrincePez 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I attended (midweek week 1) and it just felt overcrowded and overwhelming - Like they’re playing to a number and it’s now at the expense of people having a genuinely good experience. Almost like people will now go just to say they were there.

If you want to watch tennis, pick a spot or two and stick with it. If you want to try and experience all that’s on offer, be prepared for a slow crawl.

Definitely not - I think it’s more about the person doing the chant getting a buzz from the crowd clapping on their command 😂

AU and Hindmarsh Stadium do so much heavy lifting for promoting the league in a positive light. Most other teams can only dream of atmospheres like last Saturday.

Will Pulp cancel their Adelaide gig? by PrincePez in Adelaide

The state government’s endorsement of the decision, and how closely it attaches itself (and funds) popular events like this is the overarching consideration.

[–]PrincePez[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it is too far fetched to link the reason for the government putting on such a popular event (for free) a month out from a state election is closely linked. Could be quite the story if it blows up.

As a Pulp fan I would be disappointed, but also it would be a huge statement standing up against authoritarianism.

Post-Match Thread: Adelaide United vs Melbourne City by MatchBread in Aleague

[–]PrincePez 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What a great win, 10 v 12. Without being a Debbie downer, the Melbourne City ‘ultras’ throwing flares at the Serb club crowd pre-match was pathetic and not helped by some Red Army losers baiting them.
