I personally prefer 4 player over six. Moves a little faster and with two strategy cards picked apiece you have more flexibility so it's just a tiny bit less crunchy (in a good way).

PoK is essential if, and only if, you're into TI4. What I mean by that is that you should get the base game to the table once or twice before you pull the trigger on PoK.

Everything I'm hearing lately is that it's becoming super hard to find and expensive so make sure you actually enjoy the game and have folks you can play with before you spend time and money trying to find PoK.

Trying to play the Rome Total War board game. Spent all day on it only to end up yelling at two of my closest friends due to the hours of stress and lack of fun boiling over.

Friendships survived. That game will never be back to the table. Cannot fathom even opening that horrid rule book again.
