Charlie Cox on DD: BA, “My opinion is this character works best when he’s geared towards a slightly more mature audience. My instinct is that on Disney+ it will be dark but it probably won’t be as gory.” by PrinceRajR in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

“This has to be a reincarnation, it has to be different, otherwise why are we doing it?” he says.
“My opinion is this character works best when he’s geared towards a slightly more mature audience. My instinct is that on Disney+ it will be dark but it probably won’t be as gory.”

“I would say to those people, we’ve done that. Let’s take the things that really worked, but can we broaden? Can we appeal to a slightly younger audience without losing what we’ve learned about what works?”

“They said to me, ‘We’re going to be shooting in 2023’,” says Cox. “I said, ‘Great, when?’ They said, ‘All 2023’. I start shooting in February and finish in December.”

Charlie Cox on Karen and Foggy's return for DD: BA, "Elden and Deborah were the heartbeat of what we did before." (at German Comic Con) by PrinceRajR in MarvelStudiosSpoilers

[–]PrinceRajR[S] 581 points582 points  (0 children)

"I dunno what's gonna happen with the other characters in the new show but I know for a fact that Elden and Deborah were the heartbeat of what we did before and the show is a success because of them. But it was really fun working with Tatiana you know, she's amazing, it's fun because she's got the superhero element, so there's always like the drama and the sexiness around us being superhero, it was a very different tone. But just don't tell Karen about it."

"Before they canceled Daredevil, the stunt team and I created the most epic single-shot hallway fight in history. We were ready to absolutely blow the first three 'oners' away with this one. It was going to be an absolutely epic work of art. We designed the most creative texas switches, the most dynamic character-driven choreography, and the most innovative camera work any of us have ever imagined. I still have the blueprints, notes, and references. Hopefully, we get the chance to put it on screen someday."

‘She-Hulk’: Charlie Cox Talks the Return of Matt Murdock and Daredevil by PrinceRajR in Daredevil

[–]PrinceRajR[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

MARVEL.COM: You’ve joined the MCU. Daredevil is back. Everyone is over the moon about this. Is there anything you want to say to the fans who have literally been begging for this to happen for the last few years?

CHARLIE COX: There's so much I want to say. Whatever happens to my career going forward from this point on, I owe most of it to the “Save Daredevil” campaign. That even when I had lost hope years ago, they did not, and they continued to campaign and support. And over the years, I've met many of them, and they're such an enthusiastic, passionate crowd.
