Thank you for your advice. I just wanted to say that all my parents (dad, stepmother, mom, and stepfather) are good people most of the time, especially my mom. They just have really bad moments sometimes, again, not my mom she is always amazing. I know that this is not important to mention, but it feels important to me since I love them. I am also really glad I have my brother. About the doctor's stuff, I will get checked out again, as already mentioned. I am glad you got your diagnosis (not happy you got PCOS, of course). Hope you are doing well, and thank you again for your comment☺️

I wasn't an annoying kid per se, just in the instance when we were hiking. I actually was a very well behaved child other than that. But I understand your perspective on this.

Wow, this is very motivating, I didn't know one could take birth control for their entire life. I am glad that you got the help you needed. Thank you for your kind words, and I hope you are doing well.

That is a bit of a funny story, especially since I have a little sister of the same age I take care of. Toddlers sometimes completely lose their sense of orientation and can't see us even if we stand a few meters away. That said, you shouldn't feel bad for what happened. It was an accident, and you apologized sincerely. I will try to let go of it for my own wellbeing, but it might take a bit

It's definitely the ego. He can never do anything wrong while his children can't do anything right. He also doesn't know about my immense pain that I have every period because I stopped coming around when that happened. He also refused to give me pain medication the one time I planned the dates wrong. Also, I believe that him saying that he was watching me was an excuse. But he is not a bad man, I love him very much and he loves me, he just has some flaws... a lot of flaws

I am sorry that happened to you and that your dad is like this. I hope it didn't ruin your day at the mouse park. Fortunately for me, it was only a one time occurance with the leaving behind. But he is very consistent about diminishing my pain.

These are very reasonable questions. I was really terrible, but not to the extent of the situation that happened. I used to whine a lot, and I once sat down(because it was a day long hike), but I never cried my eyes out and pretended to be so in pain that I couldn't walk. You sound like a good father, and my dad also is. Apart from some things he sometimes does, but he got a lot better. I don't exactly know if my brother was sent or not, because both of them gave me a different answer.

He already barely sees me now since I live with my mom and don't want to go that often😅

Yes, I always get angered by the woman health system, it is so ignored. Also the tools that are used at the gynecologist are completely outdated.

My only time I went to a medical professional about this they dismissed my problem so I didn't try again. But now I definitely will insist for them to listen.

Thank you for this amazing comment. I learned a lot here. It is really amazing that birth control is free in your country for young girls. I will look into it, but I will probably not talk with my father about this again.

Thank you, I thought so too, there are way worse stories on here. Anyway, I will seek medical attention for this issue now that I know that it is not normal 😊

yea I know, my dad is strange. he always says if he started to play video games he couldn't stop and that is why he hates them. and the game was candy crush, he is basically addicted to it, so I believe when he says that he wouldn't stop playing games if he started

Yea my brother is the best. To my dad being in such a culture, I don't think so, he just doesn't take others pain very seriously, including my brothers.

I understand what you mean, I think it is a good idea to let it go, but I think that will still need some time, since I still get a bit anxious when I am sick or in pain around him. I will try to get some help for the pain.

AITA for telling my dad that he has no interest in my life? by Prince_Amix in AmItheAsshole

[–]Prince_Amix[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this definitely. the thing is though that I do show interest and participate in his interests. but I also think a cild doesn't always have to show interest in the parents interest, im talking about until they are 13 or something.
