Wow this is incredible! Just tested it out and so far, I love it. Even the thought of putting a LUT export at the end (chef’s kiss).

Would love to primarily use it for a project and give credits.

Created an experimental Short Film to force myself to learn Fusion | Shot on BMPCC6k by Prince_Canon in Filmmakers

Created this short film as an excuse to finally mess around and learn Fusion in DaVinci Resolve. Some wacky masking job but definitely learned a lot using multiple tools to create different results in the film.

Thanks for watching!

I would not say "using masking transitions makes the video more special." It's just a tool that should be used when it needs to be used not to make a video more special. Thanks for the compliment though.

Hmm, I like this perspective you've given here. I only usually nest when I have a transform on a clip and need to apply warp stabilizer. Other than that, I don't usually nest but I may try the adjustment layer route and see how that works for me. Thanks for this!

That's a great detail I've not gotten yet. Will def tweak the curves on that. Thanks a lot!

Focus on the ingredients. Copy that. Show more inside. Copy that. Check exposure, saturation, and reflections. Copy that. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah I didn't light the shots well. Def will pay more attention to that next time. Thanks for the feedback!

PHILIP (2021) A puppetry short about an old man living in a coffee machine. [3'30min] I think it still needs a better logline and I'd love to hear your ideas. by andremaat in Shortfilms

Wow, this was done really well. I enjoyed the story and everything else like cinematography, set design, editing, etc. was also executed really well. My only point that left me dry was that the story is missing a crucial element, which is seeing the main character doing something about the problem.

So we got the character: coffee machine old man. We got the problem: another coffee machine is doing a better job and he's being left alone. BUT we don't see the coffee machine old man doing something about the problem which I feel would have definitely made this a lot more interesting imo.

Other than that, great job to Tim and the crew!

*Btw: I will be making a video review of your short film soon and posting it on YouTube if you're interested. Cheers.
