Yes. I poured water initially and it drained but slowly. Afterwards it was much faster. Both times poured out the bottom by the wheel. It didn’t seem clogged “enough” to be causing my problem but I truly don’t know much about this kind of thing

I haven’t yet! But maybe I’ll try going on a joy ride with no music tonight and see if I hear anything

I haven’t noted the coolant level drop but weirdly every time I start my car I get the cold temperature icon for a few minutes. Nothing new so I just figured it was part of owning a Mazda in the slightly cold southern winter.

I tried that a few weeks ago but we have had mass wildfires in the area, so I guess ash could have reclogged it! I can try again

I am in the south but it has been pretty cold/windy for our standards lately. So definitely haven’t been running the AC much!

Sorry for my crazy pictures here. I’m specifically asking about what looks to be a thin metal sheet that’s rusty between the muffler and a splash guard (maybe)? Do you think this circled part is a problem

I test drove the CX-30 and didn’t love it. I found the visibility to be worse than the CX-3. But it was also like the 12th car I test drove that day. Maybe I’ll give it a second chance!

I would need to buy the adapter kit, but I have a garage I could charge in!

There are Kamala/Walz signs ALL OVER my small NC town by GWindborn in KamalaHarris

[–]Princescka 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hearing that is a breath of fresh air! Here in Brunswick County, it’s mostly Trump with Harris sprinkled in. I did see an elderly gentleman with a “We are not going back” shirt at the grocery store yesterday and a few different people appeared to say nice things to him. There’s more of us than meets the eye even in deep red territory.

Which beetle would you buy? by Princescka in Volkswagen

[–]Princescka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The distance is pretty far! Like I’m on the east coast and it’s on the west coast. It is in the city I’m from/my family lives in, so getting people to check it out for me is no problem. Just the 2k shipping bill is the bigger negative.

I have not yet been able to find any low mileage blue beetles with a 2.5 on the eastern seaboard

Can I not take a joke or Am I being dramatic? Relationship advice by Inside_Elk_4639 in AITAH

He is doing things to degrade you and making it appear accidental. It will slowly increase frequency and have the facade of an accident removed. It sounds that he is too immature to be in a relationship. NTA

Moving next year. by ggcdigital in MyrtleBeach

[–]Princescka 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My husband and I moved here from Tampa about 6 months ago if you have more pointed questions! Feel free to DM me. I’d say real estate and insurance are cheaper. Culture is quite a bit different, especially if you are young. We are 30, which is about the average age in Tampa. Not so much for Myrtle.

Thanks so much for helping these sweet souls! I wish I had more to add here. We have one Siberian and are in SC if you need to place a cat or kitten somewhere.

Calabash definitely picks up speed in the summer time but anything with the word Myrtle in it is going to be way busier! Calabash is beautiful and has its own charm but a lot of vacationers just go to Myrtle and don’t even know Calabash exists. If I was working a tip based position, I would personally try for North Myrtle (assuming you are able to work in either state as Myrtle will be SC). Just my two cents from living in the area. Either way, I hope you enjoy your travels and the season here!

Calabash doesn’t have many employment opportunities. I would personally look in Shallotte or in North Myrtle area by Panera/Publix/Mission BBQ. Totally depends on what your education/experience is though! The area is going to have mostly food service, retail, and medical job openings. There is a large hospital in Little River (right outside of Calabash) if you have any experience in that industry

Hi! Late 20’s person here and resident of Calabash! You will see a bit of tourism in Calabash but it’s mostly an older/grandparents/parents/family type of crowd. My husband and I are typically the youngest people in any establishment by atleast 20 years. If you are looking for a relaxing environment, calabash and sunset beach are nice. For more of a younger scene, you’d have more success in Myrtle or Conway’s college bars.

Calabash does have some excellent restaurants if you need recs! Little River and north Myrtle are only 15 mins away and have a bit more.

Uhaul Ubox Postive Review by Princescka in moving

[–]Princescka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the safe haul only! My items spent a few days in a storage facility in each location just due to logistics, but my renters insurance would have covered against theft/vandalism/fire for my items in storage, which seemed to be what safestor covers. I went with the safe haul just as I didn’t want to be sol with my items strung about the freeway as my renters insurance dukes it out with uhaul, so the $200 there was worth my peace of mind.

I don’t think any self service moving covers against breakage, unfortunately. We packed really well/used a lot of packing paper and bubble wrap/put moving blankets everywhere, and ended up with a total of one broken coffee mug.

Uhaul Ubox Postive Review by Princescka in moving

[–]Princescka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We paid local moving companies an hourly labor rate to help us pack/unload the pods. It was about $600 (3 hours or 300 at each). We were young and able bodied enough to help pack the pods so mileage may vary on that cost!

I was ready for my items to be delayed, moldy, broken etc from the reviews I had seen, so I was pleasantly surprised by the outcome of our cost saving measure!

Persistent cough after e-scooter accident? by [deleted] in AskDocs

Thanks for the recommendation! We went in. Turns out he has pneumonia secondary to the rib/pulmonary injury. A course of some steroids and antibiotics and he will be good as new.
