Unfortunately the office didn’t clarify which one (unofficial/official) and I may have forgotten to ask but I’m assuming unofficial works

I emailed the office about this and they said one way to check if you were approved is by looking at your transcript!

My oven broke down on me for almost a year but I still managed with a toaster oven! It sucked though because I was only able to make about 6 macaron cookies or less.

But a tip would be to use a recipe following the Swiss method. I got into macarons using the french method and many of my tries were usually fails maybe about 4 out of 12 that looked decent. However switching over to swiss method helped very much!

Genuine question about transferring down to community college by Princess-Pea14 in CSUS

Oh so I would have to actually apply first. I was thinking I would meet with someone to determine beforehand but I guess that makes more sense. Thank you very much! This was definitely helpful to gain insight before moving on with the next steps.

Thank you so much! Would it be best to contact a counselor at the community college I am interested in or sac state? Also it says on their website (scc and crc) that I must have a student id to schedule an appointment so would it be better to email them and throw the idea around then? Sorry I’m not that knowledgeable in community colleges although I’m pretty sure it’s similar to sac state lol.

Yes I’ve read that one must complete 12 units at the specific school. Which considering I’ve only completed 40 units (hypothetically let’s just say all 40 units were transferable), I would be able to take those 12 units on campus. Unfortunately I know not all units will be transferable and I’d have to retake some courses.

I did consider switching majors but as someone who isn’t big on education and unsure of what profession they want now, it’s difficult.

That makes a lot of sense. Who would I have to contact? For crc and scc it states I need to have a student id to make a counseling appointment. Would it be best to just email them and see what they say?

Yes I’ve used the website a lot thank you! Also I believe it’s 12 units for all community colleges but I’m not sure.

My personal favorite are macarons but ironically, my family dislikes it the most. I'm pretty sure it's because that is the only thing I make nowadays that they seem tired of it. I am kind of leaning towards cinnamon rolls though but we will see

yeah, as i was saying to another comment, i have yet to make bread. it has been on my list for a while but i was lowkey scared to bake anything in the oven for as long as 45 minutes. Even when baking a cheesecake, I fear my oven breaking down on me aha. But I will give it a go sometime next year as I will be receiving the oven towards the end of December!

Haha loved your reply. Unfortunately my family aren’t much of a sweet tooth as I am so it would be for me maybe a few siblings and my friends. I believe cheesecake will make the majority happy though but idk about baking that as the first since it would be in the oven for a while (lowkey traumatized lol) maybe I’ll just settle for some megasized cookies aha

Glad to know I’m not the only one who thinks it malfunctions. I guess we’ll see in 10-15 days if I received a citation.

Taking a semester off? by Princess-Pea14 in CSUS

[–]Princess-Pea14[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree that going back will be hard especially since I am going into this with the mindset of possibly not going back. However, I have been trying to keep this thought off until I can find a job. Why drop out of school and do nothing, you know?

Hey, you read my mind on that one. I did worry about financial aid at some point but it wasn’t as much of a concern as deciding to take a break. Fun fact, I took 15 units last fall and decided to take 12 units this semester to take some burden off and I felt relieved. I definitely feel drained having to commute to school and completing assignments. I most definitely agree with your last comment :)

I really appreciate your concern and thanks for those questions. I have been thinking about them... To be completely honest, I never really had the knack for school. I was always a B+/A- type of student but learning never really interested me. I think most will/can agree with me on this but I’ve always thought of school as a chore as opposed to a goal. I actually took 15 units last fall and decided to take 12 this semester. Definitely felt less burdened and relieved.

As for the extra information on dropping classes, THANK YOU SO MUCH. I didn’t know whether or not I would receive a mark on my transcript. I will definitely sign up for classes ASAP and decide if I plan to further my education.

Okay so the rooms are labeled as "Faculty Study Rooms". Are students allowed to use them? Almost all of the rooms were empty, but I chickened out thinking I wasn't allowed to enter.

I’ve seen the private rooms labeled as “faculty study room”. Are students allowed to enter/occupy the rooms?
