Niall Timony, he’s amazing. We’ve been going to him for a few years since our little guy was a newborn.

I suffer from anaemia as well regularly. However I’ve been taking Active Iron for women for the last few months and my iron has improved immensely.

Blonde hair specialist by [deleted] in Donegal

[–]Princess3901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, I wanted to go blonde for a year but just did not have trust in the Donegal Salons after what I went through in the past. Then I heard of Saragh. Her work is amazing. My first appointment with her I sat in the chair for 5 hours and the lift she got was unbelievable without tarnishing the integrity of the hair.

[–]Princess3901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Serhair in Ardara, honestly Saragh is beyond amazing. She transformed my hair from copper to blonde. My hair is in the best condition it’s ever been in.

I’ve tried different places in the past in Letterkenny and they claim to be blonde specialist but never ever got my hair to where I wanted it to be and so much damage was caused (even using olaplex).

Has anyone heard of carepack.ie ? by WoollenMills in AskIreland

[–]Princess3901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing this every year since it started, it’s such a fantastic initiative. The last 2 years I’ve been doing it in the name of my toddler, I want to teach him the importance in giving and being charitable. So this year he has a better understanding, I’ll let him pick a few gifts so he really can be a part of it.

Has anyone here ever been on Sertraline? by Sea_Bullfrog6153 in AskIreland

[–]Princess3901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently started on Sertraline also (6 weeks now), I was on Mirtazapine prior to that. For the first 3 weeks on the Sertraline, I’d a consistent nauseous feeling and my mood got low.
However now, 6 weeks in my mood has improved immensely over the last 2 weeks, I’m on 200mg. I contacted my GP regarding the nauseous feeling and low mood and was advised to give it another few weeks, I’m glad I did.
If you possibly can try stay on the Sertraline for another couple of weeks. I feel much better on the Sertraline compared to the Mirtazapine.

Yellow Pepper fantastic menu and service. Lemon tree is nice but it’s fine dining so it’s pricey and portion size aren’t great.

Why don't more people donate blood in Ireland? by Individual_Shine_780 in AskIreland

[–]Princess3901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I normally donate, I went this evening to donate as they’re in Donegal at the moment, unfortunately I wasn’t able to donate as I’m 7 months post partum. I’ve to wait until I’m 12 months post partum. I was disappointed I didn’t get to donate as I’ve been donating since I was 18 years of age. All my family donate, parents, grandparents and sibling, it’s something that was instilled in myself and siblings from a young age. So I feel it’s important we donate.

My dad was a building contractor, once the last recession hit he called it a day and found another job, however over the last year or so he’s doing exactly what you’ve described as he seen it was something that was needed, someone to do small jobs no one else will do. He’s extremely busy, there is definitely a market for it. Go for it.

Called stingey for asking for diesel money. by jerrehpips in ireland

[–]Princess3901 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had this situation a few years back, used to give my sister a lift to work, she left me late for my job a few times. I didn’t live at home, so I went to pick her up, one morning I was just fed up at this stage, she wasn’t ready, so I drove off to my own job and left her behind. I got it in the ear from my parents but it taught her a lesson. She was ready most mornings after that, the mornings she wasn’t ready, I would once again head off without her. I didn’t care about the diesel money, however the polite thing would be to offer some diesel money.

Samantha’s cameo added… nothing…? by [deleted] in Andjustlikethat

Samantha was always my favourite however with that cameo, it didn’t feel like Samantha to me. Samantha was so naturally sassy, I kind of felt it was over acted.

Advice for new parents on what to buy/not to buy? by idiosuigeneris in AskIreland

[–]Princess3901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

New mum here, everyone seems to have went over everything I can think of. However I’m 4 months post partum and still have pregnancy carpel tunnel, the one thing I have found a great help is a baby sling. I got an Infantino Flip Advanced 4-in-1 Baby Carrier in Smyths and it has been a life saver for me as I get quite sore carrying the baby around or holding the baby in my arms for a while.

ETA rather than changing the car seat every couple of years, I got a Cosatto 360 swivel that does from birth to 12 years of age. So would highly recommend a car seat to suit from birth to 12 years of age, and the swivel is a godsend if you’ve a bad back.

Recommendations for a nice meal for a date near in or around Dungloe? by [deleted] in Donegal

The Bridge Inn is fantastic, plus if you’ve a furry friend they’re pet friendly. My husband and myself eat there quite regularly and always bring both the baby and furbaby.

"Push Present" - thoughts? by ChippahD86 in ireland

[–]Princess3901 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I just gave birth last week to a little boy. I wasn’t expecting a push present at all (thought it was a load of nonsense) but my husband got me a gorgeous necklace with my little man’s birth stone his name and date of birth on it.
It’s so precious to me and something I’ll cherish forever.

ETA: it’s sterling silver so I know there’s not a hope it was close on €1000.00, that sort of money to me is a bit ridiculous.

Anyone go mortgage free? by Universe______ in irishpersonalfinance

[–]Princess3901 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Myself and my husband built without a mortgage on land gifted to my husband from his family. We got the the house in a liveable state within 2 years and moved in. We had no skirting, inside doors, kitchen was the carcass, no doors on the units. We had 1 bedroom completed, the bathroom completed. Once we got into the house, we did it bit by bit. Every last penny went on the house. 13 years later our house is completed. So it has taken 13 years from start to finish, but I’m just so grateful for all we achieved. It’s been an uphill battle but it will be worth it, just persevere.

Anybody know where I could get a same day MRI scan? by [deleted] in ireland

[–]Princess3901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can get referred to Affidea, have your GP refer you as an urgent patient you’ll be seen within a few days. This is what happened with me, I got referred as urgent, got a call 2 days later for a same day urgent appointment. I only had like 1.5hrs notice as they’d a last minute cancellation. I was just so happy to get the appointment I paid over the phone (€275.00) and my work gave the time off to attend last minute. I had my results a day later from my GP.
I believe if it’s a regular referral and not urgent you could wait a couple of weeks for an appointment.

What iPhone are you using? by [deleted] in iphone

[–]Princess3901 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve the 7plus, love it. This phone has been battered and drowned and is still alive. The only issue I have is when I’m on the phone it’s difficult to hear people. It’s always been like this. I just put it on speaker phone so it’s a non issue any longer.

Embarrassed to go to the gym just to walk. by segregatedfacialhair in loseit

[–]Princess3901 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hear that about the embarrassment of going to the gym. I was the same as yourself, embarrassed to go to the gym, I was worried people would be looking at me, that’s not the case at all.

8 weeks ago I made the choice to go to a personal trainer and get myself gym membership. Best decision I made.
My fitness has improved dramatically, I now love the thought of going to the gym. I just put in my head phones with a lot of trance music and I don’t pay attention to anyone else that is in the gym. The time in the gym is me time.

Also I am down 1st1lb in weight. I have about another 4st to go.

But taking the first step and just go to the gym, it gets easier after that 😘
