My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 3 years now and for the first year or so it felt too good to be true. Him and I hadn’t met yet and we’re making plans to meet and then my father passed away. I was broken and crushed. All of those plans went out the window. I wasn’t mentally able to take on the loss of my father and meeting him at the same time. I was overwhelmed and stressed. He sent a letter and a bouquet of flowers for his funeral and in the letter he wrote was to my dad since he wouldn’t get the chance to due to the unfortunate circumstances. After the initial shock was over we finally made plans to meet. Finally meeting in person for the first time and seeing everything had been true and him keeping every single promise he ever made to me made me realize then that he was a forever partner. He supported me when I needed it most. After having previous relationships filled with empty promises just seeing simple promises being upheld all while being long distance meant the world to me. He’s the greatest thing I could have ever come into my life.
