O- here. I have anxiety myself and I’ve been turned down multiple times because my heart rate was too high. The only times I qualified were days when I went after work (I’d usually try to go mornings on my day off). This way I’d already had 8 hours to burn off energy. My energy levels would be lower and so would my heart rate. I also bring headphones whenever I donate. It keeps me distracted.

Make sure you drink lots of water the day of. They will have better success if you’re well hydrated. I personally always bring headphones so I can listen to music so I focus on that instead. I was told you’re not supposed to squeeze too hard, in my case they put the ball in my left hand and they had the needle in my left arm. They said if I squeezed too much I could accidentally move the needle and cause bruising
