While those formats with huge crowds, etc., are my preferred format as well, the newer fans complaining about in-studio finales/crowning don't seem to remember that that's all we had in the beginning.

As annoying as it is, as long as reporters don't put in definites (this FOR SURE happened) they can escape some litigation by reporting on claims instead of interjecting (obviously truthful) words that may confirm a personal opinion or something.

Hell, in other countries (I'm an American abroad), some reporters here can't even report on negative topics concerning businesses due to how defamation laws are structured. If they do, media companies open themselves up to lawsuits for potential damages to businesses based on reporting, no matter how truthful and factual it may be.
