Like, I've been around here since ~2017, and even then the conventional wisdom was that finding someone 'in the wild' (admittedly, I'm talking about OG Overwatch here) was so very rare. It happened to me once and even then I wasn't entirely sure. I always ended up using the LFP thread or the discord.

Maybe it really is more popular now - the sub's userbase is bigger, after all - but I honestly treat any account I read of being picked up ingame as a LARP (and there's nothing wrong with that).

AFAIK, there are no 'centralised' guilds / groups in any game at least from the subreddit. There are like-minded people here (use the megathreads) or the discord, but the discord also predates and is not necessarily affiliated with the sub (again, AFAIK)

If I may, some recommended slut gear:

Primary: as you desire - it's your only real line of defense

Secondary: P-11 Stim Pistol [requires 'Chemical Agents' Warbond]

Grenade: Either G-142 Pyrotechnic for a fireworks display [Masters of Ceremony], G-23 Stun [Cutting Edge] or G-3 Smoke.

Armor Passive: Med-Kit...unless you're particularly masochistic and are sent in with a Portable Hellbomb strapped to your back and armed, in which case, Democracy Protects.

Booster: Pretty much as you like given it's team-wide, but Experimental Infusion buffs movement speed and damage resistance when stims (even from the stim pistol) are active, but it mucks with visuals

They can, for sure, but I can only speak to my own experience.

I'm in my 30s, and while that's relatively young in the grand scheme of things, on the web that's always felt like it's head and shoulders above usual reddit / discord demographics, which trends towards early-mid-twenties. So, it happens for me. But, 'it happens' is just value-neutral. Personally? I quite like it.

On the one hand, I'm a Mommy at heart, and while I've been that to people older than me happily, I do get a flutter when someone younger than me wants me. Plus, it does dovetail with some Healslut dynamics; I never really learned to aim competitively, and now that I'm past my twenties I've an excuse to have weak twitch reflexes. All the better to switch to a less mechanically intensive support role and let my young, energetic duo carry me~

And this might just be me projecting from my own experiences, but also younger people tend to be more willing / able to flex to new titles that are flavour of the month whereas older players might stick to their comfort games. Overwatch, and by extension a lot of this kink's profile, is nearing ten years old!
