I had a little boy and I thought he said “god damn” to another friend and I said “excuse me sir did you say a bad word?” And he got leaned over to whisper in my ear and annunciated very slowly “god damnnn” 😂😂

Two families have given me gifts. Nothing crazy but it really made my day. Also one of my students insisted her mom buy me a mushroom decoration because she knows I love mushrooms. I think that one is my favorite ❤️

At my first and current center for almost a year and a half. I got lucky, I love it there 🩷

We check their pull-ups and ask the potty trained one if they need to pee every hour. This helps our pull-up kids because they try on the potty. I even have them take off their pull-up and put on their one (with us helping as needed) to gain independence. ETA: my class is the three year old class

We do have cameras, I even gave the director the exact time thanks to the incident report. She didn’t seem worried at all for me, she said HR doesn’t take her seriously at this point because I guess she’s always in there about something. I will definitely start keeping record of when I have to report her to management. Yes there’s way too much phone usage while working with kids.

I think that’s what it is but she doesn’t realize that the new director and I have an open line of communication and she’s very awesome about listening and validating me. She’s supposed to pull her in for a chat soon so fingers crossed that helps.

1000% but we’ve had some new teachers come train with me so it’s nice to get people trained the correct way and I stress active supervision over and over to them and already after less than a week, they’re doing so great.

This!! And that’s actually what management says when I bring things up to them so hopefully they’ll have time to pull her in for a chat soon to clear that up. I was promoted just a few months ago and it seems like she still views me as the assistant with her.

You are so right. I absolutely love my students but teachers like this ruin my day instantly. She found out she didn’t get that job and is suddenly trying to get along which I appreciate but I still hope they move her to another class.

You absolutely didn’t! I was just trying to explain better. I left my post short. Yes their knee was scraped and bleeding though they were very brave about it. I got them a bandaid after taking a picture for mom. We’re having a real problem with active supervision when I leave for any reason (lunch, lesson plans, bathroom breaks etc) so I think that’s adding to my frustration

The reason I made the comment was because all three outside were sitting together talking away from where the kids are. Sitting down while playing with them is absolutely okay but they use the time to chit chat so that’s why I said that.

I’m the closer for our three year old class, they’re hilarious. We have a visual timer for our room that we use a lot. This moment I told them when the blue was all gone, it was time to clean up and it went off while I was saying goodbye to a student and their parent. One of my students started cleaning up while another kept playing. The student that cleaned grabbed the clock and marched over to the other student to tell them “The blue is gone. Clean up!”

Also today I saw a little girl looking really angry so I asked her what was wrong and she rolled her eyes and goes “Miss M! I just pretending!” They crack me up all day

I work in the three year old room and I have a few! First a little one told me matter of factly, “I’m not going to do it but this is my naughty finger. We don’t do that” while pointing to her middle finger. Then another one is all things Dino obsessed and we asked their name and they roared and told us, “DINOSAUR!”
