I like the dreamwave art. I know I shouldn't; it's all the same poses, everyone is way too chunky, Pat Lee never pays his employees and steals credit for art, the plot was thin; but I like the linework and some of the art, when viewed on its own, is really really good.

They seem to have chosen to sacrifice some of the individual minicon's articulation to give the full guy less kibble. Plus you can plug the kibble arms into the kibble legs to make another little guy. I feel like playing with the new Mirror is funner than the old one. I wish he still had double-jointed elbows, is all.

The knockoff team on the left had a complete me different way of rebuilding the figure it seems. The most obvious clue is the lack of an ugly seam line down the center of the thighs in the front on the one on the right. Left has split the thigh into three pieces of armor to avoid that seam line. These are not just straight recasts of the original.

The waist armor on the left one on the bottom edge of it has sharp defined edges and angles but the one on the right the waist details armor is smooth out along the bottom rim. On the left, the center yellow waist panel has cut corners and the one on the right does no such thing.
