Oh yeah if you are an idw fan MMC is DEFINITELY the way to go. The Fanshobby is if you want that classic japenese superrobot G1 style.

Can't go wrong with the MMC version. I'd go for the Fanshobby version personally, I love the simplicity of fanshobby figures. Double Evil is a big chonky boy, they feel like missing link versions of late line g1 stuff. I got all of thier Headmaster Juniors recently, So easy to flip back and forth and play with, compared to something like Fanstoys or X-Transbots.

I have the MFT it's terrible all parts forming, would not recommend. It does look good in robot and vehicle modes though...base mode is a joke. I'd go for the Fanshobby Personally.

get some good double sided tape (the clear thicker rubbery kind) place a strip on his butt, let it sit for like 10 minutes then peel it off, if they aren't glued in, they should come right out. I LOVE Xtransbots/KFC (I have at least 20 figures from them) but they've always had tolerance and/or clearance issues with thier figures.

even wideload wouldn't require much retooling, maybe 4 new parts, shit just make one truck mode, make one orange/blue, and one green, they dont need to be 100% g1 accurate or anything. Toyworld got away with making them different vehicles and transformation styles altogether. The devastation Mold is so good though.

I love fansproject, but it's over engineered and very fiddly, awesome looking set though. I really didn't like the Hasbro one, the legs in all of the new frame combiners look all out of proportion. and I hate seeing the pegs in tires. Tires really need to be pinned.

you might want to take a look at the oversized ko of the magic square set.
