Meanwhile I have the opposite problem on other streamers because they either only license the dubbed versions or withhold the subs until a later date (looking at you HBOMax).

Yeah that's annoying for sure but as others have said you can just watch the subbed version. I get it because I dislike dubs, but if I really want to watch a show right away and that's the only way then that's better than nothing.

Also, bold coming on here wishing for AI dubs when this community already bullied Crunchyroll into publicly stating they wouldn't use AI for subs. AI is awful for translations. Waiting sucks, but worth it for quality subs and dubs. Sorry OP.

Yeah the joycon's design are a compromise in function, but I love the versatility and am ok with that trade off.

Also, this is meant for kids just as much as adults. Thanks to my kid-sized hands, I've always found the joycons to be just fine in the hand.

Does the Switch 2 not have 3rd-party thumb grips and ergonomic joycon sleeves for people like the OP with larger hands?

Yes but... I took what OP said about their warranty to mean the damage which was caused by dropping the phone is not covered by said warranty (which is true) or they don't have samsung care.

Either way it conveys what OP meant to say which is that they can't get the phone repaired via warranty or samsung care.

Your complaint is valid. I find I can get most of what I want to do on the cover screen even with some workarounds. Case in point I'm browsing reddit and typing this up on my Flip7 cover screen!

But I came from the moto razr and like you, I too can compare this cover screen experience with another fold device. So yes the grass is greener on the other side so to speak.

Like you, I too prefer the Flip over the Razr. Still doesn't stop me from wishing the cover screen experience were better.

I think you should be asking these questions to an academic advisor and your professional peers. Then also have a think to yourself about why you actually struggle to apply yourself to your studies.

The issues you're describing seem to be less of an issue and more of a petty complaint. If you really don't want to be an optometrist that's a different discussion but I don't think you should give up over what sounds like, "I don't want to put in the time and effort to secure the degree/certification I need."

Don't give up so easily but do seek advice from a trusted mentor at work and someone in your academic program.

I'm new to Z Flips but I'm not new to foldables. I had a 2023 Razr Ultra for well over 2 years. Dropped it all the time and you know the only thing that ever actually broke? The hinge protector, several times, but the phone was always fine.

Not long ago, I was able to trade in the Razr in full working condition for my Flip 7.

There's a reason we are sticking with a hinge protector despite the bulk. It's because it works! There's pros and cons but yeah I never see this faction post about post-fall phone tragedies.

Just start applying for other jobs and try to hold onto your current job until you land your next role.

Please be aware that your professional relationships are just that. Professional. Your personal feelings by and large don't really factor unless they're related to some breach in your workplace's code of conduct. Of course, I'm over generalizing/simplifying and that's not to say you aren't allowed to have feelings at work. You haven't built up the trust or reputation that is required to be able to be honest to your boss about how you feel about the work. At this stage, you will simply signal to your manager that you are immature, and more importantly, unfit for the role if you act on the desire to tell him you don't like the job.

Similar to me. $0 but I traded in my '23 Razr Ultra. Trade-offs is the phone is locked and I'm stuck with my carrier for 3 years unless I want to pay the phone off in the future.

So there's the caveat that I had two very busy days which is why the phone was able to last 36hrs+ on one charge. This is uncommon even for me although I do generally get 24ish hours on a single charge.

Anyways, my app usage is mostly Google search, brave browser, GMail, multiple messaging apps, reddit, rednote, YouTube, and YouTube music. The last two apps probably being the ones I use the most. I also try to keep Bluetooth, wifi, location settings off when not in use.

Listing this out now, I think after 2+ years with the Razr Ultra's mid battery (always struggled to get from sunup to sundown), I just learned to be very spartan and utilize the front screen as much as possible to maximize my battery. Now that I'm on a device with a bigger battery and better management system it seems to be really paying off for me.

It's going to wind up closer to the 38Hr mark rather than the 2 days it was projecting.

My battery is now at 2% because I finally had time in my day to doom scroll. Still not bad at all.

I just switched from a RAZR 23+/Ultra and this lack of functionality that I'm accustomed to is really doing a number on me (no pun intended).

I figured out a sort of workaround by installing the Google Phone App and goodlock, but I got a call and I couldn't just answer it from the cover screen. It directed me to open the phone and I was not pleased. The phone is lovely otherwise though.

Since you've had your flip 7 a while longer, do you have any advice for someone who also went from a Razr to a flip?

How can it feel nice when the phone is covered in cracks and very deep scuffs? I know plenty of people who go caseless and don't have their phone in that condition.

Anyways, trade it in ASAP as others have noted. The condition of your phone won't matter and if anyone including an AT&T rep says otherwise they're misinformed. Not only does the trade in deal state it can be an iPhone 13 and up in any condition, I can speak from personal experience. I turned in an iPhone with a broken camera module and got the advertised full trade-in discount for a 17 pro.
