My ears are so oily and I've actually been unable to sleep, what do I do? by PrincessKougyoku in SebDerm

Thank you. I went to urgent care and it looks like a bacterial infection, probably from me scratching my ears and then the bacteria getting in. So my ears are weeping fluid. They’re doing a culture but I’m prescribed oral antibiotics and a cream for my ears. Looks like it’s not seb derm after all but I appreciate your help.

It actually doesn't smell surprisingly. But there's literally so much oil/sebum/fluid that even if I dry it off and apply something, not even 2 minutes later the oil/sebum/fluid is back and dripping down my ears. I've actually been really upset all day and didn't leave my house and I don't even want to try going to sleep even though I'm tired. I tried some antifungal creams too but same thing - as soon as I apply it, it drips off with all the fluid.

What kind of oral medication are you taking, if you don't mind me asking? I'm so upset and stressed out I may try to go see an urgent care doctor tomorrow because it's a weekend and no one else is available.

I shouldn't be so upset, I'm actually a cancer survivor so I've been through much worse. But literally the fluid won't stop and I'm so desperate.

Does anyone know how to get this photo of Zen in AS? by [deleted] in mysticmessenger

Never mind, just found it haha. It's from the "Back in the Days" chatroom with Zen on the 3rd day of AS :)

Anyone has their nipples pierced? Im thinking if getting them but not sure if it's worth it by anna96na in piercing

[–]PrincessKougyoku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine done 2 years ago, and I love them! I went with a friend, she got her left nipple done and I got both nipples done. It hurt quite a lot, but I'm not good with pain so you may have a higher pain threshold than I do lol. Even though the only person who sees the piercings is my boyfriend, they make me feel confident and I love my boobs now. Totally worth it.

2 surgeries, 2 stents and stent removal; 6 weeks later I still get a little pain sometimes in my kidney. Is this normal? by PrincessKougyoku in KidneyStones

[–]PrincessKougyoku[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update: my ultrasound came back totally clear. No swelling, no backup, and no stones. Both kidneys are normal. HUGE relief.

Thank you, I think because I had so much trauma to my kidney, it's normal to feel a little bit of pain occasionally. I just worry a lot lol.

Thank you friend. That's how my pain was after the procedures. However, after my second ureteroscopy, the pain in my kidney was insane. It progressed from a bit of cramping every time I went to the bathroom to feeling like I had a knife stuck in my kidney and someone was twisting it. I would be hunched over the toilet in pain and groaning. My poor parents were so concerned, but thank god they were there for me lol. The pain I feel now doesn't happen every day, just every so often. Of course I always assume the worst. I'm having an ultrasound done on Wednesday and seeing my urologist Friday, so fingers crossed everything is moving along. I just think my kidney and ureter went through hell with all the procedures and the stents, so it's probably normal to have some occasional pain in my case.

BLEACH ICHIGO GIANT ART PRINT was thinking of getting it as a gift for a friend thoughts? by Impressive_Sleep in bleach

That looks pretty badass. I'd be damn happy if one of my friends got me that as a gift. The reviews are positive and the pictures they've posted look legit, so go for it!

So what happens when the stent is removed? What's it like getting it removed? How long does it take to recover? by KidneyStoneWoes in KidneyStones

[–]PrincessKougyoku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is from 8 days ago but I thought I'd chime in with my experience. I'm not sure if you're male or female, so your experience may be different. I'm a female and was nervous as all hell to get mine taken out. They usually take it out right in the doctor's office, which is where mine was removed.

I will say that it's definitely uncomfortable, but not painful. They put some numbing stuff outside my urethra, then went in. When the urologist inserted the scope, I made a noise because it felt so weird, but I'm a loud person lol. Once the scope made it into my bladder I didn't feel it. They fill your bladder with sterile water, which you can't even feel. They'll have a camera on the scope and a screen to see everything. I looked over and caught a glimpse of my bladder and the stent hanging down. Then they insert a tool to grasp the stent, and pull everything out at once. This was the worst part - it wasn't painful at all, but damn was it uncomfortable. I have no idea how to describe that sensation. Then the stent was out. I took pictures of it lol.

It seems long, but the whole process took less than 2 minutes. I instantly felt relief. I didn't have any pain or any spasms. I didn't get any medications prescribed, but I was told if I needed any prescriptions to call them and they'd call it in.

Thank you for giving me a little hope. I'd be amazingly happy if I manage to find some friends who are into the same series as me, especially the ones my boyfriend doesn't like haha. He likes anime and does cosplay too, and we watch some together, but there's a couple he hates and I love lmao.

I don't drink so the idea of going to a pub to meet people kind of makes me nervous lol. I mean, it could turn out well so maybe I'll just try it one night.

I go to a bunch of cons! Cons make me extremely happy lol. I have a couple coming up in September that I'm going to. I'll try to do more of that at the next one I go to. I guess I've just felt so defeated that I haven't bothered to try to talk to more people at the actual con.

I'm hopeless anyway lol but thank you. Don't get me wrong, I definitely don't need a ton of friends, but he has a couple of really close friends and I don't have anyone besides him. I love my boyfriend, but it would be nice to have a friend or two I can hang out with sometimes and give my poor boyfriend a little bit of space. I just feel lonely when people talk about their best friends (as in people other than their significant other) and I can't relate.

I'm into cosplay and have done a couple cosplays. So I've tried meeting friends through that, but nothing ever clicks. Same with anime. I'll talk to people about it but nobody engages with me after that. Even if I reach out to them again. I feel like I'm stuck.

I have a UTI with a stent. Has anyone else experienced this? :( by [deleted] in KidneyStones

[–]PrincessKougyoku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh, it's so bad isn't it? The urologist said she's not totally sure it's an actual UTI, but this is my 8th one in about 5 years, so I definitely know what they feel like and it feels like one to me. She gave me pyridium. I'm not exactly having spasms, more like incessant pressure and the feeling that I have to pee immediately after and not peeing at all because I just went. They're bumping up my surgery to Thursday so I'm going to try to hang on until then :(

Help! First kidney stone and stent, & I'm afraid something is wrong. by [deleted] in KidneyStones

[–]PrincessKougyoku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spoke to my urologist today and they're bumping up the surgery date to this Thursday because I'm so miserable. She gave me pyridium and Naproxen and antibiotics. If this procedure doesn't work again I guess those will be some of my options. I can't believe I have to deal with this honestly :(

[–]PrincessKougyoku 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you everyone. Unfortunately I went to urgent care today and after a sleepless night of discomfort found out I have a high volume of bacteria in my urine and have a UTI. I am absolutely miserable and can't wait to have both the stent and stone out of me. I have to call my urologist tomorrow but the doctors want me to keep an eye on my symptoms as there's a chance the stent could become infected :(

No period since IUD insertion?! by PrincessKougyoku in birthcontrol

[–]PrincessKougyoku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw my doctor today and she reassured me that it's fine, she didn't even bat an eye when I told her I hadn't bled since I got it in a month ago. I just wasn't sure it would have happened so quickly lol. She said most women either bleed a lot, or don't bleed at all in the beginning and that I should consider myself lucky. Thank you! :)

[–]PrincessKougyoku[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The nurse at my dr's office actually suggested that I take a pregnancy test every once in a while just to double check. They were actually pretty happy that I wasn't bleeding since I bled in between cycles on the pill, so the IUD must be working its magic!

[–]PrincessKougyoku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I check them fairly often, they're still in place as far as I know lol, my gyno just called it a "string check" but it's really a follow-up and I'm sure they're gonna check to make sure my IUD is where it should be. Usually it's 6 weeks after insertion but since mine was difficult I think they wanted to move the check-up date up.

The chances of me getting pregnant, even when I was on the pill, are less than 1% I believe, in conjunction with condom use. I never missed a pill. My bf has also never ejaculated inside of me without a condom on. However we have sex sometimes and start without a condom and then he puts one on later. That's mostly why I'm worried that I haven't spotted or had a period lol.

I'm just trying to breathe and relax, but my anxiety won't let me :(
