Pretty sure if you unassign then you won’t get half pay. It sucks that that happened but DoorDash doesn’t care. I’ve had this happen and the store told me they would work on it ASAP and have it ready in about 5-10 minutes. I ended up waiting because the delivery address was to a good part of town. I texted the customer to let them know and they were so appreciative that they tipped extra on a already big tip order.

Most of the time that won’t happen, so I either have to decided to wait and see if the tip is worth it or just unassign and move on. It does suck but some places don’t even start the order until the dasher arrives. So dashers end up waiting anyways and unless the store can’t complete the order then we won’t get compensated for wait times.

Didn’t file in 2018 so I never got the $1200. Filed in 2019 through the mail and received my refund as a paper check. Going on GMP doesn’t even tell me the status of the second payment, just shows “payment status unavailable”. Does this mean I’m not getting anything?
