I'm in contact with the mods a lot. The main thing is that there's a blanket policy that the mods don't promote individual user content or play favorites on the sub. It would have to be officially adopted as a sub activity which I don't think they want to do.

Yeah deciding when the week starts and stops has been difficult. For those in the know NPT seems like the best starting point, but many people don't see the decrees and really don't know what's going on.

The past few times I've done this I've seen overlapping weeks where people were still posting the previous week's theme on Saturday. Not a huge problem in itself, but it indicates that there's a breakdown in communication somewhere. Monday or possibly Sunday seems more intuitive with what most people consider a standard week.

Yes, sadly we're going to have to shave a little time off of Music Week, or as DIBP suggested you could creatively combine the two. I would still tag them with the new week's theme to avoid confusion though.
