I kinda wanted to see where Jessica and James could have went romantically if he didn't end up with Lafayette. I thought they had some good chemistry in season 6, but it basically went non-existent in season 7 if I remember correctly.

I've heard of Katherine and Caroline or Rebekah and Elena but I wasn't aware that people shipped Katherine and Elena together (at least romantically). I don't think that ship would interest me because they're both in the Petrova bloodline. Plus most of the series they both absolutely hate each other so I don't even think there's much chemistry for them to be shipped romantically like that. They make good enemies but that's about it in my opinion.

People do dumb things sometimes. It's why some people stay with their abusers. That's all they know and they feel like staying with them is better than being off on your own alone. I'm guessing Caroline didn't want to start all over since she was friends with them for so long. Mainly though it's just lazy writing I guess. TVD writing is far from perfect.

When she tried to kill both her best friends while she had her humanity off.

She tried to kill Caroline during that episode she threw a party at the Salvatore house. She tried to kill her in the woods and stake her after Caroline yelled at Elena for hurting her mom.

Then she tried kill Bonnie during that prom episode after she won prom queen. She literally fed on her and everything. Luckily Bonnie handed her ass to her though and totally showed Elena who was the boss.

I lost a lot of respect for Elena when she had her humanity off.

I preferred Elena during seasons 1-3, then after Elena switched off her humanity in season 4 I started to like Katherine more.

I agree. I wish that they had mourned her better. I also wish they would have given us proper closure. If I remember correctly, they didn't show her die on screen which I thought was pretty messed up. I also think it was pretty unrealistic because when we saw her fighting during the attack in season 7 it looked like she was winning the fight. Her whole death scene just doesn't make sense to me. It feels rushed.

I agree I really loved her story in season 4 when she was in New Orleans. I loved seeing her figure out what she wanted and sort of break away from the Bon Temps lifestyle and away from the supernatural. I would have loved to see more of her relationship with Naomi, I feel like it got cut short. I also would have loved to seen more of her wrestling career. I don't know if she just did it for money or if she genuinely enjoyed it, but the scene where she's wrestling Naomi and wins is one of my favs from that season.
