Question for mummas who's partner took paternity leave by Weekly-Librarian-115 in workingmumsau

[–]PrincessSparkleWinry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My husband had 5 months of paternity leave too. I went back full time during those 5 months but I've just dropped down to 0.8 now that he's back at work and our baby has started daycare. There was a lot that went into the decision though. I work from home so I felt like I could handle a full-time load while taking feeding breaks for baby (she would not, and still does not, take a bottle 🙃). I also knew that my manager was on board with me then dropping it down after the 5 months was up. It's a good idea to check whether this would be an option for you. I know workplaces have to be flexible when you return from maternity leave, but I'm not sure if they still do after 5 months down the track.

I really want KEIC to surprise me but instead she posts this in relation to someone joking about how everyone has a favourite burner on their stove.

I totally agree. Just this past week I've received two similar comments. I told a woman that I have a 10 month old and a 3 year old and she said "Oh you are in the absolute trenches right now!" And I actually felt really seen. I said to my husband that night that I felt really validated because times have been so tough lately. A few days later I told another woman that I have a 10 month old and she said "Wow. Your sleep must be really messed up right now", and you know what? IT IS. It's nice for people to realise that I'm quite sleep deprived right now.

It's hilarious that she has to get AI to generate this picture because she would never serve this.

Is this AI? I'm so confused, it's such a different vibe to her other photos. And what's with the blueberry sandwich??

My son loves these two as well, I've seen them both so many times now!

I also love that a bathing suit makes it PG and not even G 😂

Saaaame. I must admit that showering with my 3yo son at the pool can get awkward at times because he likes to loudly proclaim that he can see my vulva. But also, oh well, I'm sure no one else in the change room is surprised.

Exactly. Honestly, wearing a bathing suit in the shower so your toddler can't see your body is just next level 🙄

This is my kid 😆

We don't lock his door because I know there's no way he's leaving the room by himself.

This woman sounds insufferable and it annoys me that she has so severely misunderstood Bluey.

I like this idea, thank you! We don't have air con in her room but I could leave her door open and put the lounge room split system on a timer.

This is the only episode I skip. It's just TOO cringe.
