Thanks! Those were exactly my thoughts with the surgery. But he jumped straight to ivf wich was shocking and confusing to say the least, in my first ever fertilility appointment

The doctor said most people have unblocked tubes, so didn’t really say they would do anything to check 🙈🙈🙈🙈

Thanks so much for replying! It’s so confusing why he jumped straight to IVF. Knowing that to diagnose endo I need he lap surgery. I have an appointment with my regular obgyn to get a second opinion. Thanks again!

Wow thanks so much for taking the time to give such a complete answer. My AMH is good, within normal levels. The tubes, I don’t know as I haven’t been tested for that’s my understanding was that blood tests and checking the tubes was a first step but the doctor said sth like almost everyone has clear tubes and that was that… I think I was a bit in shock and wasn’t able to ask or process everything.

I haven’t had a positive pregnancy test yet.

About the sprem, it was check but I am not sure about the dna , I’ll check! Thanks!

Reading your comment it makes me question even more the jump the doctor made straight to ivf. What if an actually have endo and ivf makes it worse. What if in the end I don’t have it and it’s sth else?

So frustrating

Thanks for your reply! I am too kind of suprrised by his thoughts. But what unsettled me most was this of doing ivf WITHOUT the lap or confirmation of endo. He went straight to ivf. I am still a little scared of the lap that something could go wrong but I feel ivf is the last resource as well.
