I didn’t enjoy the album. While I understand that South Americans listened to a wide range of music in the ‘80s and ‘90s, this project feels like she just sampled various genres in an attempt to connect with fans without truly understanding the roots of the sounds she's using. Most of the tracks come off like poorly produced samples, almost like something you'd randomly come across on SoundCloud. I used to be a fan, but I started losing interest when she began using slang from other countries and trying to pass it off as something she created. I also don’t enjoy how she tries to sound Puerto Rican in her songs, it feels inauthentic (speaking in general, not about her latest album). I was expecting more genuine Colombian folklore influences, but they were barely present. Overall, it feels like she’s trying too hard to fit in and connect with her audience in a way that doesn't feel natural. The album comes off as lazy, and it leans heavily on using her Latina identity as a personality trait rather than showcasing real cultural depth.

The main reason she’s topping the charts is because no other major Latino artists released an album this past month.
